DjibrilCisse:This is another nonsense story. There is no way we'd pay the kind of money mentioned for a player of his age who is completely unproven and hasn't even kicked a ball in Europe yet. I'd say there is more chance of a United delegation being in Denmark negotiating a deal for the Emperors new Clothes than there is one in Brazil for Moura.
Well..... You do understand that there is a reason for the likes of him and Hazard (for example) having such a high price-tag, don't you ? Right now he looks to have the potential to become one of the best players in the world........
It's not certain at all that he will become one of the best, and a player who are much cheaper can take his place instead.... But it's much more likely.... That's why he has a higher price.... If you want to get one of the most potential players around at the time, you have to spend big......
It has to do with not letting over clubs getting him too.... I mean, maybe we want him to play a season or two in Europe before judging how good he is, but when he has moved to Europe it's most likely to late to get him.... If we don't get him, he will most likely go to Real or Barca, and then they might end up with the next Messi... Do we want that ? We shouldn't let them get all the young potential players....
He might not have "proven" himself yet, or played in Europe.... But if you have watched him play, then you can't deny that he has some incredible skills, and even if he only will be able to do 50% of the tricks he do over there, he still would be a pain in the neck for the defenders to handle.....
