nuthugging idiots. Face the reality, Chelsea, at least on paper, have very good team and are likely to add more players. Not saying they will win everything, but it would be foolish to act like "we are united, we can beat anyone with our 3rd squad" and ignore other teams. We are not that good [yet].

They may be - the lose of Drogba will be hard to over come. But you never really know with Chelsea in recent years

Yes. They're a major threat again. They already have some brilliiant attack minded players like Mata , Lampard , Malouda , Ramires & now Hazard & Marin. This isn't the end. More players will arrive at the Stamford bidge this summer. That'll make them a force again , if the players dont flop.

Fortunately the start of the new season is some distance away but if it started this weekend I really would fear for United.I am pretty sure we have 4 minimum challengers,However still time to get our signings yet to accompany the 1 first team player we have already signed.

It will be a lot harder for us because last season we had the benefit and chelsea changing managers and there was no stability and their senior players were never picked. So they lost a lot of points due to those problems. But a much settled side is definetly a threat to us. And city will have more confidence and they' seem to be content with their squad this summer so they'll have gelled a lot better even more. We won't be able to afford to depend on other teams doing poorly to keep us in the race. We will have to step up and perform this time.

Could Be???? I'd bet my house and car they will be top or second. I do not go with the poster who said they spend based on hype of any player. They spend on every top player available.How can you possibly compete with clubs that have unlimited funds. With Man.City the same ranking, top or second, it does not look god for us.

I think they will be, but not because of who they signed. A big question mark will be over the ability of Torres to replace Drogba because he was instrumental in everything they did last season.

Wouldn't surprise me if De Bruyne and Marin were bit part players next season, I do think that Hazard and Torres could be a good partnership upfront and if Mata can keep pulling the strings then they could be very good next year.

i believe chelski will be a force to be reckoned with.i think the team will be built around torres,a player completly out of sorts,but you don't just lose them skills because of a bad season,i'd advise ppl to be very aware of chelsea fc this season.when these new players gel,they'll be a fresh lookin team,has to be said liked or not......

I have to agree with you. At the end of the season I could see the old Torres coming back and the team they have is really good. The scare me more them City to be honest

they'll take more points off city than us,can only be a good thing..i really think this season will be a special season for all involved in MUFC.why,last season SIR had his trophie takin away from him.this season he wants it back witha big fat no.20 on it......

I like the spirit ruthless. As we all know SAF hates losing. It's one think he has never come to term with. I agree he will push with all his might to get silverware.

Chelsea is ALWAYS a major threat. They were most vulnerable during management transition, which appears to have settled down now. Once their engine "tuned" in, they are unstoppable. We have fans thinking MU was doing OK since we only lost on goal difference.....
