So there goes another two of our top targets. Priced out by Mourinho and out manoeuvred by AVB, it's sad to see our (still great club ) reduced to second tier in the transfer Market. Without Sir Alex we would not have made the top four in premier league, in the last three or four seasons.hopefully the flotation on the NY SE will eventually free up some capital so that we can compete again but right now it is such a shame that at a time when we really need be rebuild with top quality our restricted budget,imposed by the Glazers' debt, is disabling us yet again. We do not want marquee signings just for the sake of excitation but we need to be realistic about transfer costs and wages right now. If we do not pay out realistically then Sir Alex will be embarrassed in his last few years at the helm. God knows how his successor will do if our budget continues to keep us non competitive.
