Re: Just hearing latest news United close in On moura....

Rumours are flying in Brazil that the transfer is very close to completion and Lucas will arrive. No links but my 'sources(Brazilian and Sao Paulo fans)' say that they are being reported on most sports websites.

lucas will most probley play for real.
good if that means we might finally go for a central midfielder

not sure if thats so good , cause he will become an quiality player 2-3 years. better than nani who could than be sold .

i say we have a week to sign him or its curtains on this one. and if that martin edwards thing is true. the italian on twitter say it is. then we must be pushing hard
Hopefully it's true. The part where he says he hopes the deal be concluded soon, or something of the kind, is a good sign we're making progress.

i know brazil play their first game against team gb live on bbc 1 friday. i have a big feeling we will sign him by then if we dont i think were in trouble because if he performs in the tournament i can see other teams like psg rmadrid intermilan stepping up their interest and possibly ac milan try to lure him. my gut feeling says weve got till friday to conclude the deal or we can forget it and move on to next target.

barcelona virtually play with 7 attackers and they are the hardest team to score aginst. their defensive record in the last 4yrs is ridiculous
Yep and the team balance is fair 5 attacking minded players and 5 defensive and most of the attackers are hard working so they would get back when need also they have the pace to get up the pitch so it wouldn't really matter that is the beauty of fluidity.
I don't mean to put a damper on this but your forgetting a few things. Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas.

With all respect to Eriksen and Kagawa as of yet they are not as good as that 3.

Your inclusion of Valencia however valid due to his more defensive abilities automatically makes the team less fluid and less capable of possession unlike adding Nani in his place.

not to mention all Barcelona's players are wonderful at keeping possession which can their revolutionary line up work, whereas in our line up we at times have Wellbeck,Young,Jones,Rooney,Smalling,Chicharito,Giggs, Anderson, all players who give away the ball (not that they aren't excellent players)
No I agree with you mate. At times last year our midfield players along with even Rooney looked almost incompetent at keeping hold of the ball, nowhere near the levels we are used to seeing. You certainly do not expect that from the likes of giggs, Rooneys possession play was shocking at times for his standard! When compared to the start we made, it was a massive turn around.

There is an argument that having Valencia out on the wing migh create space for others to attack. But I think your formation there would work a lot better with the inclusion of Nani, a player capable of taking the ball under pressure, beating a man in tight situations, and able to pick a pass.

Now Valencia might have been in some peoples opinions our best player last year. But the team has to work as a unit.

am not advocating for this as i also think its unlikely we sign both. what im just trying to say its possible to have lucas, eriksen and kagawa in the same team and still be defensively sound.all the players would just need to work hard like the barca players. something fergie is more than capalble of getting from his players. there has also been rumours of fergie quitting after this season. a tactical change in his last season would make sense. especially if the pple upstairs think pep would take over. just a theory

Cheers for that although I couldn't really make much sense of it!
this is it translated in english Bad news for Inter on the front of Lucas. Speaking to Sky intervened Martin Edwards, honorary chairman of Manchester United. Edwards, in office from 1980 to 2002, spoke of the deal of course Lucas, confirming rumors that come from England: "Players move from one team to another with ease - he explains -. Football has become that, we must only so much money. Lucas at United? difficult to comment, are in an executive position. I can say that we are interested, and I hope the deal will end soon. "Total opening that is beyond the rumors coming from Brazil and not always reliable. United, as one of the chief executive, openly declares his liking Lucas and peer challenge as Inter, the only company left in the running for the young star of the St. Paul (although in Spain they call into the running Real Madrid, ed ). It is, for the Nerazzurri, a very formidable opponent, to blazon and available funding. Rejected the first offer (but will it?) Which provided cash plus Anderson, the Red Devils are ready to return to the office triggering an auction at which Inter could decide, for obvious reasons of a financial nature, not to participate. The hope is that the plot woven in recent months by Branca then from Aid is strong enough to withstand the onslaught English. With Lucas and agent Wagner Ribeiro is aimed at 100%, but in the end the club Paulista might agree to give her jewelery to the highest bidder. Provided that the individual concerned does not point your feet and 'pretend' Inter.
Sorry bud, should've been clearer. I've read it in english, I meant I still dont really understand it

If you look closely only a small section of that info is a direct quote, the last 50% of it looks like its someone's opinion with no source or qoutes?

Sorry to sound sceptical as I'd love to see Lucas here I'm just not getting my hopes up until I see something more concrete
