Rafael? He is with the Brazilian Olympic Squad, he's not even in the Utd tour squad, nor is De Gea who is with the Spanish Olympic squad. Also, Jones is not with the squad, having been with the England Euro squad, and Smalling, like Evans, is recovering from injury and subsequent operation. Robbie Brady will play LB, not Blackett, who is not yet seen as being near the 1st team and is there for experience as we are light in that position Remember, it is a tour match and not a reserve team match, SAF will not start with a team full of reserves and debutants against a team who will be pumped up to beat their famous guests - as the last South African visit showed. Thus Valencia will play, as will Lindegaard, Ferdinand, and one of either Carrick/Scholes, almost certainly with Shinji. Tthere is no way that Powell will start also; he is one for the future and has not been with the team long enough to throw on as part of the crucial MF with another debutant - may get a run-out as sub late on, that would be interesting, however I would be surprised if he played much of a part in our opening game. . I expect to see Jesse Lingard playing some part, Hernandez will start also. And of course who eventually gets a run-out will depend on the number of subs allowed - a figure which at the time of writing I believe has not yet been announced. Apart from that though - and one or two other positions - you're pretty spot on with your selection! :)

*Noticed Smalling hasn't been named in many teams... is he still injured? Because he hasn't gone to the Euros or Olympics.

Would like to see Powell and Petrucci getting some playing time too, I think it should be a good pre-season to see youth, because of the tournaments that have ruled out some of the bigger players from playing.
