I for one have a weird way of looking at United, I feel that the more English players you have in a side the more fluid your team is? It's just me but it feels like there's better chemistry.
What just like the English national team? So sorry mate couldn't resist....I know, i'll face palm myself
Hahahaha, this made me laugh, but i seriously think that in a couple of years England will be a force to be reckoned with, with players like Hart, Walker, Jones, Smaliing, Wilshire, Rooney, Welbeck, Cleverley, Oxlade, maybe Powell. I know that a lot of these players still have to prove themselves but the potential is certainly there.

To answer to the OPs thread the only English talent out there i would like to see at United is Wilshire.

But back to your point, no, look at the players who have turned down moves abroad in favour of staying with us. Look at today's example in Kagawa who turned down a move to Real and other top European clubs in favour of coming to us. We are the most popular club in the world, it's an estimated 669,000,000 people are United fans. Supposing there's only an odd 70m people in Britian altogether than that means the vast majority is from overseas. Besides most enlist players are overpriced and lack real quality Unfortunatly.

we all can look for exceptions here and there the honest truth is that the average english player is more expensive than the average european or south american player. seondly we are looking for midfielders with good technical ability and composed on the ball. i dont see many english players like that. we already produce good english players, theres no need to break the bank for more when we can buy better quality from outside cheaper
Prove these are expetions. When was the last time a non garbage south american went for little money?

Less llikely to have any technical ability. This thread made me think, maybe we should have spent 25 mil on milner. 15 on baines, buy Green so we have a english goalie who won't get any ideas about leaving. What a ridiculous thread, the british players are mostly hypejobs who then start believing the hype.
I was thinking more like 25m for Adebayor, 32.5m for Robinho, 28m for Veron and signing Gomes who won't leave because no one would want him.

So what English players are good enough for United at the moment ? (realistic targets)

This would never work... and like many others have said, English players are often overrated and overpriced.... I know there are player in other countries that are somewhat overpriced, but at least they are very good (at least potential) players... If there were an English player as potential as Lucas for example, that player would cost twice that of Lucas....

At least have potential aye? So while everyone are crying about 15m for Baines, who already proved himself, was 20m for bloody Kolarov a good deal? Which deal worked for the best 28m for Rooney or 30m for Berba? Chelsea paid 7m for Sturridge and 50m for Torres, the latter gave them 11 goals in 49 games and the former 13 goals in 43 games. How much did Barca paid for Ibrahimovic only to *** him out a season later after a joke of a season? 23m for Luiz was a better deal than 10m for Smalling? You want me to continue?
Not much point trying to reason with people with an irrational hatred of the English.
    City bought the title
City have ruined football with the money
    City are the devil

We need to buy Falcao Lucas and Modric though
