Kind of like a 4-3-1-2 with kagawa allowed to play in his AM role and Carrick supporting from behind maybe?

I don't think it would be in the 30's, if not number 9 maybe it could be Valencia's old number 25

it just shows you the mentality of Arsenal fans

When RVP was with him:he is the best striker in the world

    When RVP left:he is SHite

United fans=we have the most incredible striker partnership...

Guys what do you think of my little hmm what should I call it Tactic evaluation by an amateur?

Could Kagawa play the Modric role just in front of Carrick?

Watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVQByn8Hg0o It is Modric vs Bolton,I am not saying that Kagawa will play the same however look at the positioning of Modric and the positioning of Sandro. Sandro was sitting and guarding the play like Carrick will do whilst Modric roams and links up more with the strikers with the tiniest amount of defensive work. Kagawa almost plays like this anyway when he drops deep to dictate play as shown in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKprLgcunVw . If Tottenham play the best football in the League like this then why can't we with Carrick as our Sandro and Kagawa as our Modric who would play off Carrick?

    On Paper:

    Fluid:

Now watch Carricks performance against Italy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9pAa5S1OoA See how deep he drops? He almost acts like a 3rd CB...also do you really reckon players won't get back? So what they will just stand in their position when they lose the ball? There is a philosophy of Attacking as a team and Defending as a team one that Fergie uses, this explains exactly why we paired 2 CAM last season and how well did they do?

Could it work? I think it will!

I am not saying I want Shinji playing in CM however it is a realistic scenario with us signing RVP,I also doubt he would play in the LAM role as Fergie does not look like he will turn into the Lowe's or the Mourinho's(modern day managers) and play a 4-2-3-1 unfortunately.

I dont see why Kagawa wouldnt work in that role. It wouldnt be natural for him, but he has the attributes to make a success of himself there. It is in my opinion a bit of a waste of his talent, think Anderson and how he got converted in to a deeper role thanks to working his socks off against Arsenal one game years ago.

Im not at all convinced about Rooney, how some people seem to think its a dead cert he will play behind RVP. Rooney, to me is a bit of a hybrid player these days. Im not sure he really has a set in stone position anymore, not one he excels in anyhow. He brings a lot to the team when he is playing well, but you could get a lot from him playing CM these days. Not that Im suggesting that. Just that after playing behind Ruud, then up top, then on the left of a front 3, then in CM, then back up top. I cant help but feel we have lost the explosive striker we signed.

Where Im most critical of Rooney is his passing around the penalty area.Especially if he tries to pass forward. Im not sure there is a better player in the league at spraying it out wide, but his through balls and final passes often end up right at the opposing defenders feet. Its just a way in which I personally critique him. Thankfully he isnt trying to chip the keeper 3 times a game anymore :)

Kagawa in that position, it could work. Id rather see him up front, perhaps a different formation would help. I dont think our formation is set in stone when we head out to the pitch, so perhaps even if Sky Sports show him playing in CM before a game kicks off, it will depend on our controlling of the game how far forward he will play. It will be very interesting to judge, after the first 5 or so games have passed.

That is by far one of the best posts I have seen mate Kagawa I reckon would work there and I agree that its a waste of his Attacking Talents but who knows it could work? He could turn into one of the best in the world in CM...he is still young!
