    I would use the transfer budget to try to get either: Modric Schweinsteiger or Moutinho. Of those players I think Moutinho is the only one we've got a real shot at getting. I don't think Modric is interested in playing for us and I doubt Bayern would truly entertain offers for Bastian (Plus they have a very good squad and he may not be interested in leaving). I still really think we need a quality (true) central midfielder.

    I wouldn't pay £5m for what is basically a 4ft version of Carrick.

    WE NEED PACE IN THE TEAM, NOT ENDLESS PASSING. JEEZ.

    He seems desperate for a move as well. Quality player can keep the ball moving and can help loads to feed the many wingers we seem to keep stocking up on.

    you will be surprised, I often disagree with people on here, but now: YES, actually what I ´ve been saying the whole summer - him or Martinez or even Moutinho. I.e. NOT ONLY NUMBERS, BUT QUALITY. But - this will not happen, none of the mentioned.

    Why not go for him ? The guy is worth his price tag and see no reason we shouldn't go for him whatever the price may be. Get modric and we set to go for another RED SEASON
