How does everybody seem to know that Fergie isn't trying to sign a player, that hasn't even been linked to us? Just because the papers are only saying RVP now, doesn't mean he isn't trying to sign a completely different player, the newspapers don't know everything, some clubs, managers and agents do actually keep quiet about deals.
Well for the past few seasons we havent signed any "great" players and its an on going trend, that is why i belive people assume there will be no other bussiness. We sign a few good/average players then thats our bussiness done it seems in recent years. The only players we need to buy right now are the exspensive high profile midfield targets, and judging by the trend to not buy top player anymore i would also assume that yet again this years transfer dealings are indeed done.
agree, and we do our business early. powell and kagawa were done very quickly and hazard would ahve been (moura was second choice). Van persie is similiar to berbatov where the club doesnt want to sell to us, so is a slow process. last year we had jones, young and de gea in very early. nani, andersona nd hargreaves were done quickly that summer too. as was valencia. its rare we sign someone near the end of the summer.

I just cant see us buying much more, fergie usually likes to sign his players early on so they have time to gel and fit in with there new team mates during pre season and this gives them an idea of how fergie wants them to play and how manchester united play, this is why i can see kagawa being a success and some panic buy on deadline day as being a flop
well anything can happen, I remember that rooney came to us in the second game of the season...so SAF could still sign

Very Well Said.. We Never Knew About Phil Jones, Until It Was Officially Confirmed By Man Utd. Just Hope We Could Get Someone Really Good In Organising Play In Mid-Field..

We've done it before with quite a few players, Berbatov for starters
yeah but berbatov was a target for the whole summer, it just took till the end to sort out, unless we sign rvp, fergie would have to switch signings half way through the market and he dosn't seem to like doing that

Re: cant see us signing anyone after the first game of the season

i kind of agree .... and i dont' think RVP is gonna come ... i have a gut feeling it's not gonna happen ..... arsenal r gonna make it very difficult .... first it's 5M extra for us ... then 4M agent fee ... and GOD knows what else is gonna come up ....

i think rvp should hand in a transfer request and boycot ....

and after RVP decides to stay at arsenal ... we r left with nothing .. except isco ... who is not a bad signing ...

i have faith in SAF ... if he says we r getting someone ... it means we will ... just as long as it's not a future prospect ... or a 16 year old ...

i wouldn't be sad if we went for baines ... since evra is getting worse and worse .... saw him yest night ... had a bad game ...

The Tov was signed deadline day and rooney was after the first game too i think. im sure we probably did it other times. we are not known for it but it can happen. the same way we rarely sign players in january. just cause we rarely do it does not mean we wont

I agree. Its a shame because it started so well with the kagawa signing. I`ve never known a summer where so many players who could improve the team are available , and i`m not counting strikers as I dont think we really need one. kagawa, hazard, lucas, oscar, martinez, m`vila, eriksen, mounthinho, modric, sahin, de rossi, strootman, isco, munian, etc

can't see us signing any one now peroid, hope im wrong, but it not like fergie to switch targets half way through a transfer window, so if rvp does fall through i'd say thats it

Re: cant see us signing anyone after the first game of the season

I think we will get Van Persie, although we will have to wait until transfer deadline day. I can't see United and Arsenal agreeing a fee until Arsenal HAVE to sell. I expect United to bide their time and lodge a take-it-or-leave-it bid with Arsenal at the last minute and Arsenal will be forced into making a sale or lose him for nothing next year. I think Van Persie will be our only other signing though.
