Serves SAF right. We need a strong Defensive minded midfielder. If Carrick doesnt play in CM we are going to play two midgets in midfield and get bullied the whole game around. We lack balance.

We are slow and predictable, everything is being played in front of the Everton players with the forward pass that is quickly followed by the backwards pass and lets not forget the pass out wide on every attack.....We cant play through the middle with quick one twos like Barca do,we are obvious and to slow...It would be nice to see a player receive the ball and turn his man once and a while but we just pass until it ends up wide. We need to move the ball quicker and make better angles for forward passes,I dont just blame the players who had a bad game I just think our whole gameplan needs to be looked at.

We need to play a 4-2-3-1 with the right players!

    Bring in Dembele and play:

We don't have the right to steam roll every team. Everton made it difficult for us again. Can't understand why anyone would think it would be any different as not that much has changed. It's a bitter pill to swallow losing the first points when City are champions, but there's plenty of time yet.

Bite your tongues and wait for the next game before you start writing us off

Post whatever rubbish you like and if people disagree then just play the opinion card

We werent at the races, and you have to think that the pre season we had was awful. Our proper first team only played together once throughout that pre season. Kagawa was far superior than any other player we had on that pitch tonight. Cleverley only replicated what scholes did, that will never work. Ive said it before, and I will say it again, Vidic will not be the same player he was after that injury. We need to sign a center back. Oh, another thing, look how phil neville protected his back four, how did our midfielders fare in that instance!

if there are any positives, it's that Kagawa had a decent début and De Gea also looked assured in goal. Apart from that though, hugely disappointing. That said, however, it was a new system we played today and will take time for the players to adapt to it.

] nothing to do with formations.. down to the players...some are jsut too slow.. you forget we have been playing 442 and look what that brought us? most of our goals came at the start...Scholes and co are just too too slow...
Wouldnt say its about the players completely, we have a great set of players, obviously they havent been played to their strengths.

Rooney, Welbeck and Van Persie all had limited effect due to our formation.

Our formation led to use having little width which then caused all our play to mainly happen through the middle. The middle was congested and there wasnt much room for movement or for any clear cut chances to be made.

I would put this loss down to our tactics and formation.

yup.. combination of all those things..we have such potential.. i think no matter what formation we play if our tactics arent sorted we will lose.. the problem today was the lack of penetration from the defense through the middle.... id have rather seen a cleverely anderson combination.. i really really dont get scholes in there...Honestly this game and many others that will happen like it are down to SAF and Phelan etc...

I'm so mad I actually think Ferguson retires in 2 year time is actually good news. Gotta log off until I cause further damages. I think Fergie is still feeling the team has done well. Just that guy Fellaini is so tall, that's all.

Cleverley was incredibly poor today. Can't see him starting many more games this season.

Not enough movement through the middle, limited width, strikers having limited effect...
I think the movement is there, but no speed in passing or run. Compare our possession to Everton, then our chances vs Everton then you can figure out Everton was moving the ball faster forward with 2 great presences Fellani and Jevatic.

We cant be to downhearted guys, we arent the quickest starters afterall. we need to play 442 because its what we know, we cant be playing like barcelona, we arent barcelona. Barcelona are barcelona, we are manchester United. the injury crisis at the back is telling and we need to get that sorted as soon as possible.

Not down to the fact that were outworked all game? teams did this to us last season countless times.

Fergie is lost...he should have taken of Scholes instead....and who makes a sub with 5 minutes???? especially in midfield?
His main problem is how poor the ONLY LB u have is !!! EVRA SHOULD GO THE HELL AWAY SUCH A LOSER WAAAAY PAST HIS PRIME!
To be fair Evra didn't lose us this match. The only ones to come out of it with any credit were De Gea and Kagawa. Rooney way off the pace.

I would give anything to see our 4-4-2 back...atleast we had our width and it was effective, atleast we created chances, atleast our strikers got more of the ball and atleast we scored.
Our wingers have been extremely poor today. I can't remember a single cross finding a player. We need more synergy, Sir Alex needs to figure out a formation that suits the players on the pitch.
i miss those days where we had butt, keane in midfield where they wouldn't be afraid to take a shot from outside the box. We seem to always want to carry the ball into the net. Why don't they just pick up the ball with their hands and run towards the goal? oh wait! right! you can't do that!!! very poor display. Feel like we will never be able to deal with Fellaini... Kagawa had a good start, he threaded some great through balls. De Gea was great, saving us time and time again.
