Re: I know why Fergie has been meeting Pep!

    Christian Raihani:
I have been thinking about this alot, we all have -who is the successor to Fergie?

It then got me thinking, what if Fergies meetings with Pep are about team shape/future squad balance. It would not be in Fergies nature to build a team that isn't to the liking of the next boss.He had always said he wants to leave the club in a very healthy position when he does leave, so would it not make sense we will start to see him lean toward the more continental diamond formation considering both top candidates have their teams play this very way? He has never in 25 years not played wingers yet low and behold this year he starts tinkering and testing. Now he is signing Lewy, a clear knod toward the dissasembly of the wing based teams he has always favoured, I say this as I find it hard to imagine a team with wingers that could accomodate RvP, Rooney,Lewy and Kaga to name but 4.

I just think it would be in Fergies blood to start the bail rolling for the next manager I personally believe this double meeting of Pep suggests he is the front runner, lets not forget Fergie himself said Pep's swapped job is not yet available, and I don't think he us waiting for Real or City!

like any great leader he always has to make sure his kingdom is in good shape for the he does step down, and no one could argue having a 4-4-2 based squad will be giving Pep a good base as he would have to change so much day one, the job will be hard enough a squad re shape would be one step to far. This way all he would have to do is come in and concentrate on coaching knowing he had the squad at his disposal to implement his ideas.

Food for thought or am I mad?

Edit : I have put paragraph breaks in this but it would appear both a nexus 10 and a galaxy 2 don't like paragraphs!!!!!

I don't know, I just have a gut feeling on this one. I don't post regularly but this just seems to make so much sense to me, when we, played the diamond Valencia was in the team, ask it couldn't have been enforced. I seriously think Pep is coming, I wouldn't be surprised, at all.

I was thinking this myself but to be frank I very much doubt it.

ever thought he used the diamond formation because he had no choice to do anything else because we had no wingers fit? lol
Could be a mixture of both mate.Whilist we willmplay with wingers at times i think we are leaning towards playing in a diamond formation or sorts.

I agree to an extent, but that doesn't mean you aren't mad. Smile
