    Re: Rooney under-rated?

Eh, Rooney is always massively underrated or overrated depending on how he played in the previous match. He can go from one of the best players in the world like after the City match, to an overrated player who hasn't played well in years and who we should sell a couple weeks later.

    Re: Rooney under-rated?

I wouldn't have said that he was 31st. Saying that he really needs to raise his game otherwise risks losing his talisman title for United with van Persie knocking them in for fun and Hernandez scoring freely and not to mention the blossoming Welbeck still playing with hunger that I think Rooney has lost a little.

Still love him but to be honest he's in danger of not fulfilling his massive potential and a lot of that has to do with his attitude off the pitch.

A lot of it has to do with technique and quickness of passing, Rooney has a poor touch and isnt the fastest of passers when he needs to be.

LMFAO, how can he be rated 31st?! Behind the likes of Cavani, who has had like 2 good seasons... Busquets, who is good at what he does, but isn't a world class player... Silva, who is incredibly inconsistent... Willian, who plays in a ***** league... and the rest. What a ***** joke. And that's not from a biased perspective. The sheer audacity to put Oscar on the list, and just 6 places behind Rooney, and 5 places behind Mata says it all.
    One Darren Fletcher

    Rooney under-rated?

Is it me or is Rooney criminally under-rated? He's scored 61 goals in his last 102 league games, and that includes his dodgy season the other year. Not to mention he plays deeper than most strikers do, he trecks back constantly to help the defence and his passing and vision are brilliant, up there with the best in the league. I saw the guardian top 100 players and Rooney was 31st i think (ill post the link up later) and Aguero was 10th or 11th. I honestly think its a disgrace and i believe he isnt rated as highly as he should be due to his international form, however, Messi hasnt played that well for Argentina until a year ago yet nobody ever mentions that. That doesnt mean im saying he's as good as Messi as evidently he isnt, but i think he's definitely in the top 10 players in the world! Whats everyone else's opinion?
