if he leaves and with Scholes retiring we would need two midfielders. I say strootman and eriksen

Suprised but cant blame him, really wish he'd be trusted more, was fantastic against Reading and few games prior in December

Let's just wait and see whether he's been misqouted or summit before we all judge him.I agree though that injuries have hampered his progress here shame really as i think he could have been a really good midfielder.

Well i kinda think is better to sell him at any price, he had potential , but not anymore. Is better to save that salary hes earning and give another player who really deserves it. IMO.
It's not as straightforward as that though. So say we move him for £5mill and save £70k/week for next 2 years, we still need to bring in a replacement. With the money we get from Anderson's fee and saving in wages you cant get any decent player so we would have to add at least another £10/15million to get in a decent enough replacement. Now given Scholes and Giggs will both retire within the next season or so you are going to have to replace other midfielders too on top of Anderson. That would strap up a lot of cash.

In short, it is probably more logical to keep him and let him run down his contract, this way you only pay his wages without worrying about spending on replacements. Pus he is still a useful player.

Fine lets free up the wages for someone else, that'll be £170k a week in wages between him and Nani that we can offer a world class player who will actually get into the first team week in week out.

If we can move him for at a good price we would have long time ago. but he has a contract till 2015 and is paid around 70-80k a week. For a player who is always injuried, high inconsistent, and now seemingly struggling with fitness and cant finish games, unless he takes a massive paycut and we take a massive loss selling him for peanuts, who do you think would want to take him?
