Yes, sort of that happens with me... I wish with all my heart that we win the game, but my mind tells me "We have so much injuries, most of our players aren't in their best form..." It's pretty much driving me crazy, I wish I can somehow know the result now so that I won't have a heart-attack tomorrow Smile

    Re: DGMS' Football Philosophy

I just read your last two articles and I am in agreement, especially with the need for Hargo to return...I dont know why but we just havent seemed like ourselves lately, its weird... and omg yea Berba has been somewhat better this season, like I almost had a hearttack when i saw him running and then not look lost afterwards...i really almost died.. but im still not totally sold yet, theres still something off about him.. maybe it is the fact that he needs to be the lead shinin man and since he's not here its just not workin for him... but i hope he proves me wrong... i really like Obertan for some reason...ive got a good feeling about him!

thnx for bringin the thread back up... ill try and read more articles when i get the chance!

Yes he is the main pillar of this team and we miss him dearly if he would have been around I’m sure Anderson would have already  developed in  to much better player than he is today because he would have let Ando attack and he controlled the rest so let us hope he does come back and one other thing I have read that Fletcher is hoping not to go under knife and painkiller injections  works and have the operation on his toe end of season let us hope it does because we can’t afford to lose him simple as that…

I really hope when he comes back to be in his previous form, which was incredible. I always loved it when he's on the pitch, he gives the defence calmness cause nobody can pass him and gives an edge to our attack

    Owen Hargreaves- We Need You

Owen Hargreaves, perhaps to many he is an injury-prone yet good midfielder while others may just see him as a great midfielder, but for me he is more than them. I see Owen Hargreaves as a mix of John O'Shea and Wayne Rooney, the versatility of O'Shea with the enormous talent of Rooney all put together into one midfielder.

He doesn't just bring amazing talent and versatility with him, he also seems to let the talent of Anderson be unleashed when they are Manchester United's central pairing in the midfield. He brings out the best in the Brazilian, something that all United fans love to see.

I consider him a better, yet more injury prone version of Darren Fletcher and hopefully when he returns he'll be nearly all of the Hargo we love to see, except of course the injuries, let's hope he does a Louis Saha and shakes of the injuries and makes life tough for the opposition.

He is arguably our best midfielder, and when he's fit and playing, he makes life easier for those playing around him. Luckily last season Fletcher stepped up to help out in that department, but without either of those two, our midfield doesn't look as strong. Whilst in the 2006/07 season when we regained what is rightfully ours in the Barclay's Premier League we used Carrick and Scholes most of the time, it lacked a certain 'bite' to it that Hargreaves added when he joined.

So when Hargreaves does return, what an asset we'll have back a versatile and brilliant midfielder do add some more bite to the midfield, maybe Liverpool won't be so lucky next time.

    Re: DGMS' Football Philosophy

I think that is a fairly big IF. I can see Rooney scoring 20 goals+ but on current form I can't see Berbatov or Owen or Welbeck or Macheda or Diouf when he arrives scoring 20+ goals. It's like saying IF we hadn't of bought Berbatov we might have won the Champions League as well as the Premier League.

I agree about not having too many stars, I'd say 3 at the most. But atm I can only really see ONE star and that is Rooney. £40million for two great players who would add so much to our team, can't complain. Football is a game of risk and predictions sometimes you're right sometimes you're wrong.

I'd also love to see a player like Villa playing for United, but I think it's not the time. And I don't think SAF will go for a star like him, he prefers taking young players with potential and turn them into 80mil stars. I personaly never liked the idea of buying a great star - look what happened with Real and City - with most of the greatest players they shouldn't lose even a single game, but they did - Real losing from an amateur team 4-0, City drawing with Birmingham...Nothing good comes of more than 2 stars in a team - it's hard to manage a team like this and everyone expects you to win whatever is there to win. The only good thing is that you make about the same amount of money which you spend for the players from selling t-shirts, kits, flags etc.

    Youth power! Yes

Let us put it in that way what if we managed to win the premier league and two of our three main strikers’ scored over 20 goals and Obertan played major role dung the whole of the season, do you still think it is wise to pay over 40 million pounds for two players in January market one of them will be above 28 years old by time he join us?  If you ask me the same question I think we should wait and hold our cards tight to our chest and play safe which is wait and see

Zab, of course we shouldn't get them in January, that's not an ideal time to sign them. Maybe agree a fee with Valencia for both in January, get the contracts done and make it so that they join us in the Summer.

    Re: DGMS' Football Philosophy

Don’t get me started on Vila and Silva because spending that much of the money in January  transfer market is not wise at all, what will happen if we failed to win league this season or any big trophies it won’t be the end of the world for us, all I’m saying let us utilize  what we have right now and give the young players more of the chances this season it will enhance their experience and will increase their self belief that they are wanted at this club and their future belongs to this club…my starting eleven would be like that …                                                                           VDS

                                                  Silva/O'shea                        Evens/Rio                     Brown/Vidic  Evra

                   Velancia /Fletcher                       Hargo                             Anderson/Carick           Giggs/Bartan

                                                                                                              Rooney

                                                                                                                         Barba/Owen
