This wouldn't have been a problem if Fergie had started Vidic last night instead of Evans.  In midweek me and two friends who were at the Fulham game were talking about the likely team for against Blackburn and we all felt that it would be stupid not to start Vidic as it was a risk not to play him in case either Rio or Evans picked up an injury.  Turns out that our concerns were correct.

You have a point mate but  I think Fergie was thinking of the CL match against Inter and wanted Rio and Evans to get some understanding.  If Vidic did play yesterday and we did fine but then the lack of understanding occurs in the Inter match with Rio and Evans, a lot of folks won't be too happy.

Playing Evans yesterday was a gamble and unfortunately, he got a knock.  Yet, risks must be taken and this is football.  Even though we might not have our best defensive line I am not concerned.

do we acually know how long evans is out for he may be fine whats up with wes brown did he pick up another injury and maybe oshea will be back as well and i heard neville will be available as well plus if brown is ready is a natural centre back and when oshea used to play a few years back he was a centre back so we will jsut haft to wait and see

Evans needed to get some much needed experiance with Rio ready for the big game, thats why vidic was rested as Evans needs to play a game before the inter match,  the reason Van Der Sar was rested was so he will be fine to play in the inter match as he is on top form at the moment, Fergie will make the best choice for the team against Inter Milan anywayy, weather that is to play o'shea or evans or to save them and play someone like fletcher? hes not injured is he becuase he can play in defence. or maybe both the da silva brothers?

I think O'shea will be available for the game; and Evans might just make it. Fletcher can do it for once, he has height, and he clears the ball good (for good or for bad). He may be just about useful for this game. 

 Rooney-i don't think so :D:D we need him up front,but I guess the rightest decision is John O'Shea :)

I dont know why Sir Alex rested Vidic knowing that he wasnt gonna play against Inter. In my opinion Evans or Ferdinand should have been rested.

I think O'Shea will play alongside Ferdinand but lets wait and see if Evans is fit first
