Gavinio:This wouldn't have been a problem if Fergie had started Vidic last night instead of Evans. In midweek me and two friends who were at the Fulham game were talking about the likely team for against Blackburn and we all felt that it would be stupid not to start Vidic as it was a risk not to play him in case either Rio or Evans picked up an injury. Turns out that our concerns were correct.
You have a point mate but I think Fergie was thinking of the CL match against Inter and wanted Rio and Evans to get some understanding. If Vidic did play yesterday and we did fine but then the lack of understanding occurs in the Inter match with Rio and Evans, a lot of folks won't be too happy.
Playing Evans yesterday was a gamble and unfortunately, he got a knock. Yet, risks must be taken and this is football. Even though we might not have our best defensive line I am not concerned.
