    Is Ronaldo suspended?

He has got 5 yellow cards in this season. Is he going to be suspended? If yes, how many matches?

i wonder how many games some people have actually watched, putting giggs or berbatov in central midfield positions. whatever the team, i hope its an attacking formation and we play positively from the off

                          VDS

    Neville        Rio         Evans      Evra

    Nani          Carrick    Berba      Park

Tevez or Rooney if his red card gets removed

                         Ronaldo

You might think that Im crazy putting berba in midfield and ronaldo in foward. Im sorry but I don't think Berbatov is much use in foward. I know that we bought him as a target man but I don't think he is that kind of person. He's is the kind of person who uses the ball, keeps it and carries the players to play. So I was thinking what is a better position to do that but in midfield? We could certainly use his creativity and stability in midfield. Also his passing is excellent which is a big plus for us. For Ronaldo, well you know the type of guy he is. He doesn't like going back to get the ball and I see ronaldo as a target man. He can shoot with both feet and head the ball well. You might say that he is better on the wings, but we seriously need to start scoring goals and ronaldo is one of the best man to do it. remember when he scored 42 goals last season? that is because SAF put him as a target man and sadly Rooney on the left wing. And it worked perfectly. we start playing attractive football for fun. Plz don't slate me, this is only my opinion on whats best for the team. I only just moved berba to midfield because i think we can get more use out of him there. Same case to Ronaldo. Hope we get a big win on aston villa and 3 days later Porto.

What's with the 4-4-2? Our midfield is not strong enough for that formation... I say, go with 4-3-3...

    Tevez, Ronaldo, Giggs
    Fletcher, Anderson, Carrick
    Fabio, Neville, Evans, Ferdinand
    Foster

Nani, Park, and O'Shea to come on...
I can almost guarantee that with these formation and players... we'd beat Aston Villa...

Just like to put out the team against Porto:

    4-2-4 formation...
    Rooney, Tevez, Nani, Park
    Fletcher, Carrick
    Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, O'Shea
    Van Der Sar

Ronaldo, Scholes, and Anderson to come on

Rest Van Der Sar and Evra and have Foster and Fabio in the team and give Neville a game on the right, bring Carrick back and I would like to see Wellbeck at some point in the game too, especially if we aren't winning, as I believe that Wellbeck is just itching to add to his so far 1 in 1 record.

Didn't think I would be saying this but Villa (h) is going to make or break our season. If we can't beat Villa how are we going to beat the likes of Arsenal. Win it and it could be something to bounce off. SAF needs to get his selection right this time, Scholes is a legend, don't get me wrong but his suspension has made the task a bit easier. Some people are saying that a long break can be a bad thing. I don't think so, a week with your international colleagues can clear your head. For some it may mean a much needed break in a losing streak. If we win this and the remaining 3 cup will become reality, again ! ! !

    We shall not be moved ! ! ! !

    Shish:
MATCH PREVIEW: MAN UTD VS ASTON VILLA:

OK, I am sick and tired of this. If we were a club battling for mid-table mediocrity, this result would have been OK. We are the World Champions for god's sake! What *** is going on, I don't know. Blame Fergie, he has made mistakes today as well, like playing Rooney on the wing again. That is ridiculous. Come on, he's a striker, why is he played on the wing? Stupid of Fergie. And how bad is Berba's ankle, I'd like to know. Villa, well, they are slowly fading away. I think they will decide the title this season, in their next 2 fixtures(Away at Anfield and OT). We have a great scoring record against them, but this season'll be tougher to score against them, hope Laursen doesn't return in time/

    Desperate for a Win!

Seriously, this is getting out of hand. Losing 2-0 at Fulham? Come on, WTF was that all about? We need to win against Villa to get the title wrapped up fast! I'm afraid that without Scholes, Rooney, Ronaldo and maybe even Berba, that's not gonna be easy. We need to win badly.

    Villa's away form:

Their away form has been the key to their performing so well this season, not their wins at Villa Park. I think their Away record is only second to Chelsea, so that's a lot to boast about anyway. I'm eagerly waiting for the next game of theirs, at Anfield to see how well they do. If they win, makes it all the tougher for us. But I do think we can beat them.

    Suspensions:

Our suspended players are as follows-

1). Nemanja Vidic- Red Card, serving a 2 match ban as it's his 2nd.

2). Cristiano Ronaldo: Has picked his 5th Yellow card of the season, but doesn't that apply only till February or something? I remember seeing that somewhere.

3). Wayne Rooney: 2nd Yellow, so he was off at Fulham. I hope Fergie appeals the decision!Sad

4). Paul Scholes: Not a huge loss, we have a lot of cover there. So we might do OK after his red card.

    Starting XI:

Suspensions apart, Dimitar Berbatov is the only other doubt for this game, but I think he'll make it. Cap'n back is a huge boost as O'Shea was looking tired after so many games as RB. And rumour has it that even Rafael may be back so no problem at RB. Evra will get his rest for this game, and he's been looking rather awkward recently not to mention. Carrick and Fletcher/Anderson will probably start in CM. Vidic is still suspended. Tevez to start unless Rooney's Red card is rescinded. We'll line up like this-

Please, this has to get us a win, I'm getting desperate!

    Prediction:

Villa, coupled with a good away record and a falling form, will be tough to beat, as they will wanna get back to business. But we have to do whatever we can to stop them, you hear Fergie? We have to win this game, it's very important that we do. I think we shall! Come on you devils and show us what you can do huh! I predict a 3-2 win for us, with maybe Agbonlahor scoring a brace for them. I don't want a big win, I want Villa to qualify for the Champions League!

    PLAYER TO WATCH: DIMITAR BERBATOV:

Wasn't at all at his best at Fulham, but no one was, so I expect that Berba will be raring to go on these Villains from Birmingham. I hope he can score against them, finally, and I hope he can also score his first hat-trick as well. Come on Berba! Win us the game!

That's it from me, baton passed!Stick out tongue

good post, mate . . . i hope you are right

is time we get our game up, coz there are important matches ahead

in a wey we are kind of lucky that the loss of form happened in two league games, and not in any of the tournament or CL

As I said yesterday too FANS on here who were predicing a 6,5,4 nil win at Fulham, I never try too pick a score. There is a lot of  panic going on with some FANS. I am not one too panic. We have won the world cup, the league cup so far, so we have not done too bad so far. Lets forget about quadruplies. If we do it, great, if not we are and will always be Manchester United FC. Lets wait until May to do our inquests on the season. This is only March.

    Starting 11 v Aston Villa

Foster - Van Der Sar lost 6 goals in two matches, I think we should try to use Foster to be our Frst Goal-Keeper.

Neville - I saw him sitting on the bench last game. I hope he will be back and play for United again.

Ferdinand - Hope he won't lost any goal again.

Vidic - Back and I think he will try to score in this match.

Fabio - Evra is tired and got a yellow card last match. Hope Fabio can replace his position perfectly and have a performance as his brother.

Carrick - Just sat on the bench last time. Be our Defensive-Mid-Fielder. Hope he can give out some assists.

Giggs - Scholes was suspended in the last game. Hope he can control the midfield well.

Anderson - Just sat on the bench last time. Be our Attactive-Mid-Fielder. Hope he can score some beautiful goals for United!

    Park -

Nani - Ronaldo has got five yellow cards and was suspended. Hope he can score ome wonderful long range goals!

Tevez - Rooney was suspended. Berbatov is injured. Tevez will be the only one Striker in this formation.

    Prediction -

    1:0 - Tevez1 (Assist by Nani)
