As i see it at the moment there are 3 problems at utd. Berbatov, Ronaldo and Central Midfield. Lets start with Berbatov. Sublime 1st touch and 15 years ago he would have slotted into the side perfectly. Unfortunately this isnt 1994 and his name isnt Cantona. Now as great as cantona was i always thought he was a very lazy player but you cannot hold it too much against him as his great moments far outweighed his bad ones. Berbatov on the other hand, his bad moments far outweigh the good ones and at the moment with him in the team it feels like we are starting with 10 players on the pitch. I truly hope he improves because at the moment he's looking like a square peg in a round hole. Now Ronaldo. Amazing Player with one exception. On free kicks he absolutely stinks and for a player with the amazing technical skill that he has i would have thought he could come up with a better way to take them rather than line the valve up and *** it as hard as you can (either into the wall, row z or straight at the keeper!). We've far better free kick takers at the club and at the moment we are wasting good chances to satisfy one players ego. This needs to change fast. And lastly - Central Midfield. Not so much of a problem here as i think we have a great midfield, we're just missing an enforcer and we have one in Owen Anderton, oops Hargreaves If he's fit for next season it should make a big difference as we seriously lack some steel in the middle of the park at the moment and hargreaves isnt frightened of sticking the boot in so to speak. But who am i to doubt the god of football! I can see some changes coming though and sorry as i will be to see him go i really cant see utd paying 32million to keep tevez at the club which would be a shame as i think we should keep him. Have faith though everyone, im certain berba will get better once he gets a good pre-season under him (he looks pretty knackered). Somebodys eventually gonna tell Ronaldo his free kicks *** and he does something about it &Hargreaves will soon be back kicking lumps out of players. We were awful at Fulham and against Liverfool, but im sure its nothing but a blip.It'll be back to business as usual soon i bet and we'll all be wondering why we are saying all this negative shizz in the 1st place

The problem yesterday was that Ronnie spent most of the match sulking. Berbie was lazy, and Fulham were on fire from the off.They wanted blood for the 4.0 thrashing we gave them in the cup and they got it. We looked bloody desperate during the game from the first whistle.It was very disappointing. First game I had taken the daughter too and she was so looking forward to seeing the 'big guns' in action. When I saw the squad, I thought she would not be disappointed - how wrong I was and most of the other fans there. We MUST hope that Liverpool get a good kicvking or a draw and then we can fight agian - remember there is only one Man United!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come on guys YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

This forum is full with pathetic people.Do you think that Berbatov is the only reason for the bad games.Do you remember Liuverpool game and who was playing for 70 minutes? I will be so happy if he was the problem, because it wil be easy solving it.The team is in crisis but it is normal ,we can`t always win.Notice that Barca also have a wierd period.Just don`t panic and don`t make stupid statements.And i am not happy with Rooney because he missed a 100 % chance to score and he had a stupid red card.I am not happy with Scholes,Evra and VIdic either.But i will never slate them.Just a weird period that eventually will be over.

 I agree. Berbatov brings nothing to the team . He's a slacker. He has all that skill but doesn't show it. In my opinion he doesn't belong at United and they stall over a full time contract for Carlos Tevez.That's a shame.

I also cannot stand Carrick or Ronaldo. They don't contribute enough either. Both are pure weaklings when they are put to the test.

I was convinced that it would have been a good opportunity to rest some "Key" players, i.e. Rooney and Carrick but I totally couldnt believe SAF's option for the midfield line-up: Fletcher on the right while two ball-passers Scholes and Giggsy in the middle!! That was the main reason United lost control of the ball so easily most of the first half. There must be a lot of midfield battling in away games we cant force two veterans to do the runs and tackles in that area. Second half was quite a different scene for 1. Wazza was on and threating them all the time; 2.(more importantly) fletcher moved back to his familiar DMF position and contributed a lot for ball controlling as well as blocking their counter-attack, which was not seen in the first half.

 Berba was no mistake, but it's a mistake for some of us losing faith.

I HATE when people come on the forum just to attack certain players.  That being said, if there is one player who does not seem like he fits in, it's Berbatov.  He looks like he doesn't belong in the side when he is on the pitch and seems like he is spending more time trying to figure out what and where he is supposed to be.  He reminds me of Diego Forlan in a sense that they both have great talent, but just seem completely out of sorts with what we are doing......I love the guy, but I hope he can figure out our style of play....

Berbatov is an amazing player its a fact. people stop having a go at him! He will do great with us now and in the future, just someone belive he can do something! if the fans dont like him, he wont like them back.

Berba had an off day yesterday. Hes human, it happens to everyone, even the greats. It was hard for him playing on his own. No doubt Rooney livened up the game, we need him in our side if we want to win the prem!

Absolutely right mate, when United went down to 10 men Berba head went down, even the commentators described his body language was appolling. He was right to be takn off. Second of all Fergie got the team selection horribly worng. Why does he has to play Giggsy in the second striker role. I didn't even see him in the pitch. You saw the impact Wayne had on the pitch as soon as he came on. Or play Tevez in that role. Sorry for once you got the team selection wrong. Stop slating the players when you are to blame

I blame Sir. Alex. How could he leave both Tevez and Rooney on the bench? Berbatov looked absolutely hopeless up-front. Why did we even sign this hopeless player when people like Eto'o were readily available for transfer at the time! The more I see Berbatov play, the more I wish we hadnt wasted SO much money on him. So far he has looked like a £10M player, not the stupendous ammount that we have spent on him.

The fact that Berbatov was taken off at half time, I hope prooves something to Sir. Alex. That an average striker does not cut it at Manchester United. Every manager makes bad signings and Sir. Alex is no exception. Berbatov's playstyle pretty much goes against the Manchester United ethic, he is the WRONG player for this club.

And it is always something with Berbatov. When he shouldnt be dropping back he is, when should be he isnt. He wont even bother running forward on the counter attack and he wont line up a shot unless he is 5 yards away from goal. The Tottenham FA Cup game being the ONLY exception I can think of to this last point. How often does this fool even GET forward at the right time? Its just funny because if we'd had Tevez playing every game instead of Berbatov, I GUARANTEE HE WOULD HAVE MORE GOALS AND JUST AS HEALTHY AMMOUNT OF ASSISTS!

But there is no way our Bulgarian fanbase would ever admit to that. Is there?
