obviously we signed him when we missed out on ronaldinho, at that time, ronaldinho was by far the best player in the world, and look what happened to him since, 2-3 magical years at barca and steady decline. I dont think ronaldo will be able to maintain that high level esp at a club like RM, where there is no consistency. He will be far less protected by the club than with us, couple of bad performances, manager will be gone, and pressure on him. It could all turn soar, the grass is not always greener on the other side

the guy was with us for 6 years, won 3 PL titles, CL, FA cup, carling cup. I would have liked to have thought he would have stayed until SAF retires, ie one or two more season, he is only 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! could have p off at 26. BUT we all knew he was eventually going and maybe in 2 years we would not have got 80m for him, who knows. Anyways better not to have a unhappy player in the team
