    Adam Cooper:

    artic...

do you remember a certain cristiano ronaldo pledging himself to utd, just a few weeks before he left and slammed the door in utds face?

i dont think promises mean anything in football you should know this

Could you see for example Rooney doing that?Ronaldo is full of himself, an overgrown ego.I don't miss him.

I agree with what you're saying Nightstar but do you agree that just because they may need to sell Aguero to buy it doesn't necessarily mean he'll come to Utd? Also didn't Aguero mention at some point that he'd like to link up with Messi at Barca?

True. Benzema always said he wanted to stay at Lyon for 1 more year, but when Madrid came in, it was to good to turn down. The same could happen to Aguero, he want's to stay, but if a bid came in from Utd, he might find it too good to turn down.

just because they dont want do sell him(aguero) dosent it mean that we cant buy hin.. we said the same thing with ronaldo! ... if we just pay the buy-out clausal then we can buy him ;P

He has said he is committed to be Atletico. Can you buy that out as well? Forget him.

Zdane, Figo, Ronaldo-brasil, Kaká stated how much they were commited to their club .... the very day before they signed for Real Madrid.

True....very down to Earth....the was he said "he wont judge" really pleased me.....anyways......Fergie is enjoying Wimbledon, and why not?....It is Sunday, which means it is going to be pretty quiet.....btw....NightStar, what do you think will happen this coming week?....Do you think, because of Atletico wanting to add more players, they would want accept a bid if we place(d) one....and want to get the money ASAP, so they could sign players before their pre-season?

"I won´t judge" is the only way to handle things correctly and in an intelligent way. That´s what I always say: If you are a big dog, you don´t need to slate other clubs and stick to your business. Only small dogs feel such need. (There are many small dogs in this forum.)

To your question, which is asking me for pure gambling as are perfectly aware of. If you connect informations and try to get to a conclusion, this is the (my) result:

Cerezo himself says, that he wants to sign "if we can". That´s the low key version obviously just to calm his fans down if it fails. He wants Guiza, Pirlo, Salvio (Asenjo since a long while, but he should be signed anyway). For to sign he needs to sell, no doubt. Tell me how he could collect the necessary amount of money selling players others  than Agüero?  Well, that´s it.

Not only a "good guy". Cerezo is a real gentleman, "old school", the best president in Spain for me.

Adam Cooper sumned it up pretty well.  Stepped a bit short on quantity but in principle it´s that.

No problem, MAC. Here is a new interview with Enrique Cerezo (president Atlético) on the general situation. Don´t ask me for traslation though. ;-)

Interesting....he sounds like a good guy.....they don't have money and that is pretty obvious and there is no other option then to sell before they buy. It looks pretty promising....but you are right.....we are back to where we were yesterday and the day before.
