But then, there was a thread running in this forum for a long time, a lot of practically implementable ideas have been suggested in that and I do hope you and your colleague moderators will be able to address them as and when possible,

We did put forward quite a few of the suggestions in that thread to the club and forum team when we became involved in this project a few weeks ago.  Some of them have been added into this new release today and others we hope will be added at a later date.  This is just the first phase of this process.  There is now a dedicated forum for feedback about the forums, so any ideas should be posted in there now.  Makes it easier for the forum team to pick up on good ideas without having to go searching for them.

    Cheers pure....

Send as many suggestions as you have and we will see what can be done.  I for one think that the guys that were working on the changes have done a great job.

    Matt Cornejo,

    Congratulations for becoming the moderator!

Yes, I do understand that all improvements can not be brought about in one go.

Some of your issues will be address and others may not.

We can't control text language as if we want people to participate, they will participate how they see fit.  If you do not like a posting, ignore it and move on.  The changes that are coming do not include "Thought police".  People will post things that will not be agreed upon.  We will not tolerate r-acism or xenophobia at all.  Yet some abuses will continue to exist.

It's a bit late for this round of improvements, but I am sure any points you make will be considered for the next raft of changes.  Monday is just the first part of the process of improving the forums.  There are still more things to come.

    Gavinio:

I think that forum is probably going to be launched when the new service goes live on Monday.  Keep your thoughts back until then I suggest.

Thanks. I was hoping to make some constructive ideas before they set up the new service.

    To the Mods:

You ask for comments about changes to be posted in the "Talking Reds changes" forum in Feedback & Queries. I cannot see "Talking Reds changes" in Feedback & Queries.   Should I simply make a "new Post"?

    ManUtdMod,

I am certain that by now you have gone through that thread here containing suggestions from all of us.

Perhaps the first aspect you have to consider is avoidance of multiple threads on the same topic. I suggest that duplicates should be clubbed with a main and deserving post.

Secondly, make clear that "txt lnguge" is not acceptable on this forum. Let it be proper English understood by all.

Thirdly, abuse of fellow fans, players and the Manager  on the forum should not be tolerated and that should be made clear to all.

Fourthly, self promoting threads, fans opening threads publishing their own virtues and inviting others to comment on that should be banned.

Last but not the least, abuse of fans based on their nationalities should attract a ban for the poster .

Let us exist in an interesting and informative forum.

    Cheers!
