Re: NANI + 15 MILLION FOR DAVID SILVA

it would be best scooop if we can dispose off Nani + 15 mp and get Silva. But i dont think Valencia will accept it as they alteady have Mata as their option.

in respect of JOVETIC, would love to have him!!!

n Rodwell is MC and not DC man!! (IMO)

I think hes obviously got a brain for saying this :P for two reasons infact.

One being, that Manchester United are the better team and he has recognised this, a pleayer is more appreciated at Man Utd, and not just another player in the squad.

The other being, hes a footballer, he always wants more money. He isnt goign to get masses and masses where he is at the moment, and hes clearly seen that Chelski have a transfer ban so Man Utd is a very good alternative!

Re: Official David Villa & David Silva transfer thread

We should sign Villa if we can, Owen is a good player, but we got him for free, and let's face it, he is not going to help United get any better, so signing Villa is a must, play Berbatov and Villa upfront and push Rooney in behind them playing a 4-3-3 formation. David Silva though does look like the better option, being 23 and becoming a good footballer, but Villa is the sort of striker we need, like i've said before, i think we have a really good chance in signing both.

                                 Van Der Sar

    O'Shea             Ferdinand            Vidic             Evra

            Valencia        Fletcher/Hargreaves          Silva

                                Rooney

                    Berbatov               Villa

Subs: Foster, Anderson, Owen, Giggs, Evans, Rafael, Welbeck

or       Foster, Owen, Carrick, Evans, Macheda, Obertan, Scholes/Giggs

That squad to me looks unbelievable, it's going to make things hard though if we did get Silva and Villa, cause that would mean alot less game time for Anderson, Owen, Berbatov in some cases, Hargreaves, Nani and more. But i do think we should sign them.

It would be delighted to see if VILLA do join us, currently his one of the best striker in the world but i can't really see this will happen in near future. Sir Alex already stated clearly that his not gonna buy anymore players this season with Rooney, Berbatov, Welbeck & Macheda all fit to play and i don't think we gonna do another Tevez saga with Villa sitting on the bench again but all it's a positive news indeed.

    Himann:

I dont know how to react to the whole Villa and Silva thing. I think they are both fantastic players and I would love it if they play for United.

I was one of those who badly wanted us to sign Villa during the summer but that didn't happen of course. Since we got Owen and even gave him the number 7 shirt I'm somewhat confused about why we would sign yet another striker. Also Villa is a bit older than what we seem to look for generally.

As for Silva, I think he's a fantastic player as well but Nani seems to be improving slightly although I think there's still more he needs to do. Based on current performances, Silva would certainly be a better option than Nani.

In short, signing Silva makes sense but not Villa although of the two I rather like Villa more.

Yeah .. Common sense suggests that we should go only for Silva because of his age and what our team needs.

But it will be very tempting to  buy players like Villa when they are willing to come to our club. And if Fergie opted to buy Benzema in the summer and backed out only because of the price, there is no explanation why he should not buy Villa(other than his age factor). If Nani does not improve till January, I do not see any harm in having a deal which involves a exchange of Nani. (40-50 mill + Nani sound great for Silva and Villa).

Villa is such a natural goal scorer that any chance would be turned into gold. Torres is considered to be dangerous in the EPL and people in Spain believe he  is S**t when compared with Villa, so I hope Villa turns out to be a better player. I dont we will have any competition from other clubs because Madrid have Benzema, Manc enough strikers, Liverpool have their problems. I only see competition coming from Chelsea but we should not let him go to Chelsea, which if happens would be disaster for Us.

But the problem would be to play berba, Rooney and Villa together at the same time. 4-3-3 would be good option but Villa and Rooney should go Wide Forward postions and both would be playing away from there standard/preffered positions.

Looks like Ronaldo left bigger void than we actually thought he did.

Agreed, Ronaldo put fear in the defender's, and now that we don't have him, teams don't see us as good as last season, and it makes it alot harder for us to get results. Look at Chelsea, they have Drogba, who gives defnders a hell of a time, Liverpool have Torres who always has the defender's on their toes, Arsenal have Fabregas and Van Persie. We have Rooney, but he doesn't pose that threat to goal that the others do. If we got David Silva & Villa, the goals would start flowing, and fear would be back in the opposition teams, they would not want to face United. Not many EPL defenders have faced Villa & Silva and so they would do fantastic here at United, remember Torres, he scored 50 goals in his first 2 season's.

They have been the only real thing giving valencia any real recognition over the past few years, we have huge recognition just emagine what they would add.

Other teams would feel that same fear they did last year when they came to face us, if not more, I'm sure other teams feel slightly more confident playing us this year!

The shirt sales and marketing would sky rocket.

The creativity and goals we've been leacking would come in abundance!

They would be fantastic! Although before thinking about both a quality CM might be needed, certainly in the summer anyway!

Here's another article that has it, obviously it is true, because it is everywhere at the moment. It is great news, Villa is ready to snub Chelsea because he wants to come to us, hopefully we make a bid good enough for Valencia to accept and we see Villa here next summer, we are also in a great position to sign Silva, if we get both that would really help our team, give us quality and more goals, which is what we need.
