Hey slow down on that comment. Thats not entirely true.

Many are now saying that if Benitez faces the inevitable fact of being sacked then he will try his best in CL because he can get exposure and when he does get sacked Benitez hopes that big clubs will sign him up but thats just one theory. Lets not forget that Arsenal won the league once with five losses as well. However looking at everyone other team and how the BPL is today it is difficult for Liverpool win the league this year. Benitez's only chance is CL, like everyone else said explaining why he subbed out Torres and Kuyt.

I believe that Kuyt, as well, has not played in his favorite position where he can be most dangerous that is being up there alongside Torres but thats just my opinion.

    Now we wait.

He is saving him for Champion league this week.  Rafa thinks Champion League is more important that Premier league. He took those players out, so they would not get fatigue, or suffer from any new injuries.

    Manchester United forever :D

Re: I think Rafa's lost it

I think Benitez lost the plot ages ago. It astounds me how so many people think he is a brilliant tactical mind! If he was such a genius he wouldn't bind mediocre Spanish players or a players who ho have been injured for months or incapable of playing at the top level. He subs Torres off when games are still in the balance and leaves Benayoun out for no reason then he let's Xabi Alonso go. Let's face he wanted to get rid of Xabi last year but at the time there wasn't enough interest from clubs. Now he's a star again and Liverpool are terrible without him. He sits and rights for the entire game! What for? You should be on the touch line observing, making adjustments and shouting out tactics. Not sitting on his ass noting nothing. He is a lucky man because if he had not won the Champions League; and mind you it was a miracle, he would've been gone three years ago. Last season the title was there's. And they lost it. We didn't win it. They lost it. He is a *** manager of an over-hyped one-dimensional, predictable, unbalanced squad that is too reliant on two players.

Re: I think Rafa's lost it

i was as shocked as the commentators when he took fernando off against fulham, what the hell was he doing lmao :L he's their best player, well was on the pitch anyway, then he takes kuyt and yossi off and sticks some 18 year olds on, with the match at 1-1! LOL

like the media was saying, liverpool at one point be on a high, then its taken off them.

    SWEET!

    what cha say!

Beg to differ, mates... in order to lose it, you have to have had it in the first place. In Rafa's case, I have grave doubts about that...

It's been a slow, spiralling descent into madness, it has...

Me and my friends always say, if Rafa is losing he will always, always do one thing.

When he panics he either brings on Benayoun or takes him off. Watch every match Liverpool play and you'll see.

Brought on Benayoun vs Arsenal, then took him off against Fulham, it's hilarious actually.

Re: I think Rafa's lost it

The man has lost the plot but never really had it in the first place, simple fact is, he won the champions leauge with Houlliers team, has spent 270million in 5 years and built a 2 man team, he sets up LFC as just a defensive unit and then hope 2 players Gerrard and Torres do something, his team are 1-1 away from home, in need of a win he then takes of there best player lol and then there most creative...its laughable but whats even more funny is the deluded scouse brigade who dont blame him whatsover and blame the owners which is beyond dumb...but they are scouse...

    Here is the difference.

Liverpool fans look at Manchester United and see nothing but the insufferable complacency of serial winners. They see a team who expect to win, and who know that the expectation is halfway to the achievement. They see a team who for 19 years have dominated and seem forever to continue that tradition....

Meanwhile, Liverpool fans look at themselves and see a team perpetually rising to challenge United, perpetually falling back; a team who seem doomed to walk a pace or two behind, to follow, rather than set, the footballing agenda. They see what the benchmark is set at.......but just cant reach it.

We are witnesing the beginning of the end. Not going to qualify for Champions league and going out of Europe this week. To say they could become the next Leeds is now not just wishful thinking. Bye bye!!

Re: I think Rafa's lost it

He is not going to get sacked, they can afford to compensate him.....if they lose to Lyon Kings on Wednesday (i think they will), then Rafa should probably resign, he can't keep going through these kinds of patches each and ever season..people argue he is too good for pool, others think different. In my opinion, shitty will replace pool in the standings. Bad planning and disorganization has ruined that club. It is all back firing...
