Can we please stop comparing every winger to Ronaldo? It's the modern day equivalent of the "next George Best" syndrome. Obertan is quick, has a good physique, very good technique, two footed, intelligent (judging by his interview replies), his decision making looks good (fergie's favourite asset) and he got into those positions on his debut in front of 70,000. He linked play up well, too. Michael Owen missed from ten yards as well, by the way.
He will need what every flank player needs to succeed- a supporting full back. It's no coincidence Ronaldo had his best season when Wes Brown played virtually every game, getting up to support him. I'm confident he'll do well on the left, with either Evra or Da Silva behind him. AND he looks quick enough to be a threat down the middle.
Letr's big him up and give him a chance.
