couldnt get into the messageboard at all, all day yesterday and well today aswell until now thought i was banned or something is it to do with the changes or what.

There was an issue with forum time outs and some account issues during the switchover.  The technical staff have been addressing these as quickly as possible.

So far the forum looks pretty good with the changes. I like it... the only problem I had was this morning when I was logging in it wouldnt let me in saying I had to verify my email or something like that. I had to restart my pc a couple times before I could log in, others had this same problem too.

I had the same issue as well and was told that it was a small glitch during the switchover process and it is being sorted.  I imagine it has been sorted now considering we are posting on here!

hey "gavinio"  i couldnt get into the messageboard at all, all day yesterday and well today aswell until now thought i was banned or something is it to do with the changes or what. congrats on the mods roll any problems i had u were the man to sort it and the rest of the other new mods fair play lads   RESPECT!.

Just a quick question to the mods, I'm assuming the signature removal isn't a perminant thing?  I know that the giant pictures in signatures can be a terrible thing (and god knows I hated them) but I was wondering if the admins team were going to bring in a size limit on them like 400x100 or somthing similar?  Just wish to know as I miss my little banner that linked to the info thread in the General Discussion sub-forum.

It is a temporary measure at the moment.  There are plans to reintroduce the feature in the future and to limit the size accordingly and also limit it to just one image.  When this will take place exactly I don't know.  I imagine once the phase one update has bedded in we will start looking at the next phase and what will be included in that.

He has a point, I guess we shall find out tonight after the Champions league game.  I trust the Mods will be on hand to deal with the influx of new threads and no doubt the stupid comments from users that will appear.  They might be wishing they didn't take the posts later Wink

    Re: changes?

I certainly won't be on here during a match, because I am a United fan first and foremost, so watching the team in action comes first.

However, if I am not attending the game I will be around during half-time and straight after a match.  If I am attending a game then this won't be the case, but I will do what I can after getting back.

    Re: changes?

So far so good with active and visible mods around, and I have already noticed duplicate threads being swiftly dealt with.

    BUT...

Forums are generally ok during the "lull" days, ie a few days after the buzz from our previous match has died down. The greatest challenge for the mods come during or immediately after a match (and more so after a draw/loss). Threads from all corners of the globe are instantly created, every one of them considered a duplicate of sorts.

Do our mods attend OT games? I believe at least Gavinio does, not sure about the others. If so, the mods might be missing at the time when the forums need them the most, ie during and after games. Has this potential problem been addressed?

    Re: changes?

It's based on the top ten posters that day as far as I know and the number in brackets is the amount of times that person has posted that day.

Congrats to the new mods, and I must applaud the contributions you 3 have made as well, getting the forums issue known to the club, and this is one reason why I love our club so much, they listened to their fans, and are making this place better for all.

Best of luck to you guys, and I can see this place becoming a lot more organized and better.
