I have this problem as well, I don't want to disable the sender because a few are insightful what can I do?

There's another way, instead of blocking the sender. When I first made my account I don't know how but my sister helped me make this file on my email account so that all Man United emails go directly to that file, and it doesn't say that I got a new email. I also did that for Facebook as you could get loads in one day. Sorry though, I forgot how I did that.

well its not like this is anything new, but a temporary solution is to block the sender of the e-mails (what I did b-4) but seems like they switched e-mails every so often.Hopefully we'll get an option to recieve or not to recieve e-mails, it can get really annoying though, I once had over 1000 e-mails from this site (no joke) the updates kept piling up, b/c I kept posting in so many different threads.

 maybe a better thing to do would be to notify the user if their post is quoted? and not just the thread that they posted in has a new post?

Regarding the emails I had a similar problem. I hope the technical team sorts it out, because I if it persists it will be such a headache that you'll eventually want to walk away from the forum.

However, having noticed 'Clint Eastwood' as your avatar, I got interested in replying to your post. 

During my college days, I really enjoyed his westerns, namely., For a few dollars more ( Et Pour Quelques Dollars De Plus) -- For a fistful of dollars  ( Pour Une Poignee De Dollars) --  The Good the bad and the ugly (Le Bon La Brute Et Le Truand).

I enjoyed watching them in French. As much as Clint Eastwood does very little talking in these movies, it was a real pleasure listening to Gian Maria Volonte, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach delivering those dialogues. Such great talents !

I don't think we'll ever get better westerns than those, nowadays. This is my opinion.

I do not want any 'automated emails' from this site.

It took me like --20 minutes -- just to delete them.

I do not read everything on these forums. I select and I read. I cannot have all rubbis-h posts emailed to me.

Mention was made to the mods in the past and I was asked to go to a certain page and click on disconnect or whatever. I did that. It kept on coming and eventually it stopped. It has started again.

YOU ADMINISTER THIS SITE. YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS. YOU SEND THEM. YOU CAN STOP SENDING THEM.  

IT IS A HEADACHE ! --I DO NOT WANT THEM! -- PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM TO ME!

 I had the same thing happen to me, about 50 emails from the threads I posted in. 

I've moved this thread into this forum in the hope that forum technical team will see it and sort it out for you.

It happened to me aswell, mate. I only got about 16 but it was annoying having to delete them all.

Sorry, but I don't have a clue on how to disable this.

 Ok guys, for some reason last nite I got about 55 e-mails from this site such as "new post in thread so and so" or "so and so replied to post this n' that"

 I checked but can't find any settings where it disables e-mail updates from thsi site.

 ANyone else have this problem?
