    Re: Moderator badge?

i also have a feeling that some people we go and look for a ban or be abusive just for the sake of them knowing they will be punished

We did suggest an ignore feature in the list of changes we would like to see added to the forum but it was too late in the day for this release.  I hope it is something we can bring in on a later update though.

Though we are not thought police as such, I hope that we are sensible enough to be able to tell the difference between people having genuine criticism about something and people that are just on a wind up. Where we think a user is just winding another one up then we will act accordingly.

LOL no doubt thats coming, I guess tomorrow is gonna be the new mods first big test, cause we all know win or lose doesn't stop the negativity.

We're not here to stop people being negative.  We're here to try and help cut down on the abusive behaviour, swearing, r.acism and duplicate threads and threads posted in the wrong forum.  We are not thought police in any way, shape or form.

This is why we need an ignore feature.   There are a good many posters who now how to post a constructively critical post, but they are also people who create posts praising what they think is good and I would not put them on ignore.    Then we got a small handful of people who ONLY post negative and we have the notion that perhaps they do so ONLY to try and cause a bit of trouble.   Now since they are not abusive, ***, etc nothing the mods can do about them,  but it would be nice to have the choice to make them vanish.   I am of course trying to skip over their posts, but in some threads it is easy to accidentally read one of them because they create so many posts.

I agree with you there on the ignore feature, cause after games I always get the feeling some people just make posts attacking players/club/manager to get a reaction from others. Thats probably one of the biggest problems on the forum.

I'm glad to see that we now have some active mods on the forum,  are there just the three of you or are there others?

At the moment there is just the three of us.  I think it's a case of seeing how things go as to whether all parties think more may be needed in the future.
