Re: Torn between Exams & Manutd vs chelski..

    Aussie`Mufc # 10:

Ok so heres my problem, on sunday the reds are versing the londoners, and it'll be 3 am sydney time. On that morning I have two school certificate exams, english and science to complete.

I can always tape the game and watch it afterwards, but I hvae 3 exams the next day, should I risk my sleep and exams for the game or what? Im so torn Im stressing so much on these exams and Im stressing because I never miss a utd game  no matter what time of the morning it is.

oh boy, i now have the same problem as yours, this coming monday i'm having a re-take exam, the exam is for those who failed to pass it, and i'm one of those students. lol.. but it's not my fault having a KOOKOO CRAZY PROFESSOR, it's her fault her students doesn't take her seriously because she's really like a grumpy old mental hospital patient, she's having tantrums everytime.. anyways, the broadcast of the game here in the philippines is around 12am. i'm not worried about the exam, i'm worried about my migraine and of course missing the game. if only my college is just around the corner, and if only i don't have migraines. (but i'm still going to watch the game, MANUTD is more important than my minor subject. i'll just pray that my migraine won't haunt me during the exam or throughout the day..) LOL

goodluck to your exam. Big Smile

    Your joking right?

I'd watch the game but like somebody said earlier in the thread, do some studying, have some sleep then wake up at 3.

No, I'm not joking. Education is more important than a football match.
I've missed games before as I had other stuff to do. I have a season ticket by the way, so I'm not just someone who tellyclaps, but I have a life away from United and my work pays me my money to feed my family. United don't.

You kids r really lucky, I remembered when i was staying in Melbourne, none of the channels had EPL ! Sports channel was cricket, rugby, Aussie rules and lawn bowls...I thought i was going to turn into a vegemite ! That's why i migrated back to the third world, haaha...we get to watch EPL on the weekends ! except for the live telecast.

Tell you what fortunately I will be able to watch the manutd-chelsi match. But the 3 matches after zat...will not watch a bit!!! Have revisions and Exams to do.

Man utd is really important to me...so important that I could not sleep and go to class for the Liverpool defeat. So not goin to watch zem. Even a nil against a small team might make me stressed, feel completely down and fail these exams and these exams are fuckkinn important!!!!

Hope you do the same...jus tell urself that as usual we will win and you will be able to watch rooney(2) and Berba goals against chelsi on tape after all ur exams finish.

ps. Hey  Mauritiandevil...am also mauritian. jus away from country for studies, Great to hav other morisien on the forum!!!!

    Go for your exam dude!!!

I pretty well remember that I missed my driving test few years back. Reason: I watched a UNITED champions league game (broadcasted at 23:45 PM in Mauritius) and could not wake early enough the next day to make it for the scheduled time.

My humble advice to you would be to give priority to your exam. Have a good night of sleep and you'll be in perfect condition for your exam and you'll give it the right focus.

As for the game, sad you'll miss it, but you can always catch up later.

    Good luck for your exams.Yes

The exams arn't that Important their like stupid things we've done from 7th grade to tenth grade. Its hopeless and won't get me anywhere cause like no one asks you for it once your down. I'll sleep early, record the game and wake up at 6 30 in the morning to watch the game. Oh and drink lots of cofee.

Re: Torn between Exams & Manutd vs chelski..

I would say revise for the exams and get a good nights sleep. English is one of the most important subjects you will ever take in your life. Every job you come across in the UK will require you to have a grade C GCSE in English and Maths and im sure it the same over in Australia. I got an A 3 B's 5C's and 1 D went to college and now at University. Before I leave University I will need to do a adult course in my spare time because I got a D in my maths. Just because I *** up in one subjects this is going to make getting a job very hard.

Seriously Science isn't so important unless you want to go into medicine or a profession that requires it but English is deffinately important so you need to take it seriously.

Im sure it feels great to be a rebel and it's not cool to be a geek stuck inside studying but this is just 1 match which you can watch again. The fact that you posted this though shows you care about your education which is a good sign.

Exams are tough but once there over and you pass you never have to do them again.

Just keep in mind that when you leave school you can burn all your books or throw them away Big Smile

Depends on the importance of these exams, and how well you know the stuff.

If they are important then they always come before everything IMO. It is your future etc etc.

But if they aren't that important, fek it, just drink three cans of red bull the next day and you'll be grand. That stuff got me through my Junior Cert!
