for those 90 minute winners or equalisers. my father is a utd supp so growing up i ended up supporting them and the passion just continues to grow. the values of the club and because there is no other club like man utd. two games which explain exactly why i love this club( villa and spurs at old trafford last season) you watch the game and afterwards you dont have words to describe it. we always seem to do things the hard way but like ferguson said if you want excitement come down to old trafford

I am really enjoying reading the passion coming from all the fans as a result of this post. The love for Utd is so strong, we love this club for who they are, what they do, the way they operate is beyond the reach of all other clubs. 

Since childhood a lot of us fallen in love with the values and characteristics shown by this club, our love will remain with us throughout our lives.

- Why do you support Man Utd?

I've supported them for so long now that they're in my blood - I can't help supporting them now I love them they're quite a big part of my life and passions. I am miserable if we lose for ages post match and only miserable if we draw due to referee decisions. Although we could have won last night with the turned down penalty I was actually happy with the result despite the ref hindering a win seeing as we showed how classy we are in our ability to come back and never give up. Even Andy Gray (who apparently hates us) repeatedly said "I'm sorry but that's a penalty!" among compliments to our team!

- What made you support Man Utd?

My cousin supported them when he was very young because of the legendary Giggsy.. He grew to not support them later on though due to a lack of footballing passion. I had always looked up to him and I was probably around 7 or 8 and decided to support them because of seeing Giggs' face on a mug my cousin had and because he supported them and talked about how class Giggs was - although now I genuinely support them having grown to be a mature person and having grown to love our club!

- How long have you supported Man Utd?

I'm not quite sure the exact amount of time but I must have been 7 or 8 as I said before - I remember watching United on BBC (as I saw someone else saying) when I still lived in England - I live in Ireland now. I remember asking before every match: "Can this match go to penalties?" lol everytime would be a no and I don't know why I was so keen on penalty shootouts back then lol I dread them now despite having faith and my favourite memory coming as a result of one - in Moscow '08...

- Have you always supported Man Utd?

I have indeed for as long as I can remember ever watching football !

 I support United because I like the prawn sandwiches and because they won the league last season.

i started to support ManUtd when i saw David Backham goal againt wimbledon(96/97) frm 60 yard away & followed by triple(98/99)..& as the times passes i came to know more abt the club, so their history,players, principle & offcourse Great Manager (SAF)  makes me to became Red devil..it's been around 13years following ManUtd & the coming generation will follow...toooo

Why do i support man utd?? well i cant put it down to a single reason.Im 17 now,  I began to support them at the age of like 4( as much as a 4 year old can who cant actually see any of the games as we had no money for sky i jst remember seeing clips of them) I think it was because we had players liek beckham and cantona jst as i was becoming aware of football. Then in 1999 i remember seeing ole gunnars strikes. winning the treble was quite attractive to a 7 year old, and i dont care wat u say, wen ur from another country u start supporting the team whu plays the most exciting and best football with the best players as u have no local team. Then wen i was able to actually watch games i fell in love with the team. And have supported them intensely ever since!! So glad i chose united wen i was 4 haha. They have certainly rewarded me in the last few years. COME ON UNITED!!!

Im from and live in Manchester so I had the choice of supporting Manchester United or Manchester City. Considering that my entire extended family are United fans i think it would have been hard to support Manchester City even if i wanted to (traitor comes to mind lol) I was encouraged from a very young age to support United by my dad and family.I have always liked the way we play attacking football and our never say die attitude. I remember when i was 9 watching the CL final (nearly crying might i add) only for us to score 2 goals in as many minutes happy memories.  

How long? im 19 my first memories of supporting united that i can think of are around age 5 maybe? so 14years? 

I have always supported United. funny enough one of my friends has a brother who used to support United but now supports liverpool. There identical twins as well so yeah , go figure lol

I've always loved the game, when I first got properly ino it I watched as a neutral just had teams I favoured but never out and out supported anyone, I watched  the Scottish League mostly as I am from there. I was aged about 8/9 then. I started watching united and it was football like I hadn't seen, I was completely hooked. It took one game. From then on I've supported united completely. I just absoloutely love this club- the humble beginings, the history, feeling round the club, being able to sit back and watch players develop and the way in which the footballs played.  I've supported for over a decade now and honestly couldn't imagine my life without united, I'll be a lifelong supporter. Or rather I am a lifelong supporter.

Because this team is one of the few that can turn a game in the last minutes,because they play their heart out till the referee blows the whistle.Because they hate hearing that whistle,they would play on and on.

actually coming from a country where it was somehow hard to get european football (at least for me at that moment of my life, I was 15) I started watching european footbal in 1999 and I was hooked instantly. I knew about it, I knew the teams, I knew about united before, but I started watching them in 1999. 

I support them because of their attitude towards the game, inside and outside the pitch. that "never say die" attitude is almost natural for united. I watched the whole season of 1999, and we all know what happened that year for united right? the amazing treble!!!!. how can you not fall in love with a manutd after watching that semifinal  in turin with our amazing roy keane, and that final with my only solksjaer???????.

Since them I always try to learn something new everyday from this amazing club, with such an amazing history, filled with joy and sadness, and how they always bounce back no matter what. manchester united is simply the best team, all around, of the world. and thats why others supporters from other teams hate us so much, because they cant cope with the fact that their teams will never even get close of being as incredible and historic and so powerful and so humble at the same time, as MANCHESTER UNITED.
