    Re: Post match thoughts...

fabio was awful. his positional sence is all over the place and hes too small for a left back.

valencia is too predictable as he doesnt ever use his left foot and until he does will not develop.

nani must be sold as soon as posible he is just terrible.

anderson seems badly missed from all our matches at the moment we need to get him on the pitch.

obertan and rooney saved the day.

I noticed Akinfeev was very friendly towards our players, maybe he was trying to smooth the way for a potential move !

Thought defensivly first half and the first few mins of second half we was terrible ! Thought fletcher was below par today - saying that he is just coming back from injury so lacks match practise .. Thought neville played well down the wing second half and did some good crosses. There goalie looks Very good !!!

We was lucky to get a draw out of it really ,We really need to raise our game for the big one @ the weekend

Agree...Akinfeev had a very good game and made some fantastic saves...to me neville was okay...but in general I think it was a very sub par performance..too many wayward passes and I think CSKA really played some fantastic football and lets be honest dominated most of the game..I think we were very fortunate to get the draw...and although I hate to admit it CSKA were the better side and deserved to win....don't get me wrong I am over the moon we got a result...but too many times our football ignites when we are on the back foot...and against the bigger clubs we may not get that many opportunities...I thought Obertan and Rooneys introductions made an impact.

CSKA at Old Trafford - Reflections (Official Reaction Thread)

What have I been saying all season? DO NOT PLAY slow, defensive, holding midfielders next to eachother in central midfield. Liverpool ripped Scholes and Carrick apart last week, we then played Anderson in midfield against Blackburn and it changed the dynamic of the team, we created more chances, and tonight Fergie switches to Scholes- very slow, deep lying midfielder alongside Fletcher- Holding, defensive midfielder, and what happens? we lose. When you have such a deep, defensive, slow midfield, it throws off the balance of the entire side, the worst element being the huge gap between the central midfielders and the forwards, which means much less chances for us, and huge amounts of space to attack for them.

Honestly I love Fergie, but why the hell does he keep on getting it wrong like this, it's obvious to anyone watching the game, yet Fergie is so stubborn he keeps doing it. He's shown no respect to CSKA, and now United have once again made a simple task harder than it needs to be, this is getting ridiculous, I'm sick to the back teeth of constantly seeing Scholes alongside Fletcher and Carrick, it makes us play awful and then all these idiot fans come on here moaning, blaming the strikers, or the wingers.
