Im at a crossroads on this one, im begining to think maybe a stint in the reserves might do the lad the world of good, it certainly did Anderson some good, he was in the doldrums too for a while especially the time he clashed with Sir Alex, he had a little stint in the reserves & it looks like he came on leaps & bounds since.

Selling Nani would be the wrong thing to do, now anyways.... everything possible would want to be tried in the background before getting rid of him would even be considered, cause to be fair to the lad we know he can do well, its just a matter of finding out what the hell is holding the lad back.

Good post and I agree. What's holding him back however is a mystery. I thought for a while that maybe it was something wrong he was doing technically but as I watched more I dont think so. He's great one moment and the next moment he's all over the place. Maybe its just in his head or something. I for one cant figure it out.

Demote him to the reserves, and allow Tosic and Obertan to step up. Obertan has been showing plenty of potential. Tosic really is due for a chance as well.

I would have hoped instead of phoning Ronaldo all the time for tips and advice that he'd go to our very own magician in Giggs and get help and advice. Not sure if he does do that, but you can't exactly teach someone how to play football over long distance phone conversations.

If he trained close with Giggsy and learned some intelligence on the pitch, and learned everything he can that Giggsy can provide, he'd be a better player. Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anyone here who wouldn't want to learn from Ronaldo on how to play, the man was brilliant, but step overs and tricks will get you nowhere without the intelligence to use them. And Nani needs to learn when to do things and when not to. He should also work with Valencia as well.

What I don't understand is why wasn't he part of the Ronaldo deal to Real? Everyone knows we only signed him because Ronaldo wanted a Michael Jackson lookalike......

most strange thing about him is that he is regressing

I mean he used to play better.

maybe he is not as talented as it seems.

I'm not sure selling him would be the right choice as well, he just needs to start playing his own style of football and stop trying to be like Ronaldo. I mean today in the game he tried that step over stuff Ronaldo does and completely left the ball behind...once he starts playing his way he will improve.

I completely disagree! I'd say more like 6months when the transfer season opened. Beer

i agree, selling nani wouldnt be the right thing to do, coz you know he has potential, but yeah him playing in the reserves might do good, if we dont try even more then we wont succeed and we will sell a great player for the future, you cant just thing about selling him already, everytime someone has a bad spell, you cant be like lets sell him!

I used to have faith in him and think he'd become a great player, but this season, when he's been expected to step up for you know who, he's disappointed.. Sell him I say, I'd play Tosic and Obertan over him at this stage!

I used to have faith in him too but......

I am not his slater.it's just he did not fullfil expectations.that's all
