Re: Didier Drogba will rip us apart!

    slasherzzz222_mu:

drogba is nothing compare to our rooney

but you can't compare drogba to rooney coz they different types of players, both are world class in their own right.

after seeing our displays against both arsenal and liverpool it doesn't fill me with confidence going into this match but we have had many decent results against chelsea over the past couple of years.

"can get Ferdinand and Vidic back for Sunday we will have a great chance"

Ferdinand? He is going to 'save us' defense-why? Have you even watch any matches this season? he is poor, and his confidence is shot - he should take his concentration of making his silly films, and do what he gets paid to do, play football and defend manchester united.

If we play like we did last night, Chelsea will tear us apart, as would Liverpool, and most top teams, we need to replace some of our mediocre players with world class players.

I don't care what anyone else says. This man is the best striker in the world at the moment and no one can deny that. He has been absolutely stunning. Ok Chelsea haven't played the toughest teams in the world but I am extremely worried about our defence at the moment and if we defend like we did tonight then we are going to have a massive problem. This man will get a hat trick on sunday. Anelka will come back to haunt us as well. Even fat frank. So United fans. What are we going to do?

how much ever i hate to agree with you, our defence is really weak at the moment..

    lets hope we atleast draw

If you are talking about that 2 goals he score yesterday, i believe both `EL KUN' goals are fantastic then that Drogba's. Anyway, on Sunday if Vidic are playing...i can bet you Drogba wouldn't score a goal unless he will force himself dive into the penalty box la......come on guys, why u go & write this type of thread about other players ripping Man UNITED apart.....

Re: Didier Drogba will rip us apart!

I think if vida comes through and rio gets fit fergi will rile them up and get them pumped up enough to do their best and teams have shown chelsea are not invincibles.....you just got to defend them right....first main thing block anelka and deco(If he starts) if he does not focus on lampard and anelka.

anelka going wide cutting inside creates the space for drogba....or lampard/deco's passing is another reason.....now vida on drogba.....fletcher on anelka could work too...with out midfield keeping tight....and pressing up to prevent likes of lampard giving through passes.

also main thing we need wingers who will track back and defend right...valencia is one who is set on the right...left i really dont know if either nani or obertan are experienced enough

cause bosingwa and cole would push on.......

so basically it will need a team effort...individual dependence wont do....it wont be a pretty match...but sometimes you got to win ugly....cause winning is winning.....its going to be one hell of a match....

Re: Didier Drogba will rip us apart!

You have some important points, but i'm afraid witha topic like that the argument here might be a bit............................er ....emotional.Ture Drog is playing well at the moment, in fact United is going in there as under dogs, IMO  i'll take that tittle. The fact is United has/is going through a lot of changes this season, but the guys have tried their best, sometimes it has looked embarassing but sometimes it has also looked really encouraging even exciting.

To ansere your question as to what we're gonna do, well its simple ,the guys just have to be on their game, despite Drog top form an inspired Vidic will put him in his pocket,Vida has had not quite an assured season as last or 2 seasons ago, he owes us a performance and if they get his injury sorted(SAF SAID HE'S READY TO PLAY) i see no reason why we cant come up trumps on  saturday, I'm not being too optimistic, merely telling you what is possibl, plus i think our atttacking players despite the doom and gloom about them are coming together. its going to be a long season but history has shown over the years that as the season gets tougher and harder with new boys challenging the "top 4" United has always stepped up a notch.winning the first of our hat-trick of titles was one of the best feeling i've had, the manner in which we took it and the football on display was outstanding. Once again to answer your question, hopefully we wont defend like we did tonite, instead it will be better and we'll come out tops

    UNITED,UNITED,UNITED

Indeed Drogba is gonna give us problems, he is extremely good..not to mention how he has mastered the ability to dive and get away with it almost every freekin time. I can't stand him, but maybe thats because he is so good, or maybe cause he is just a cheating bloody punk <---(I didn't swear this time yessss!) Hope our defense brings it's A Game on the day, we defintely gonna need it to keep him at bay.

Its too early to give up stefan. Big matches like this are often won by the day and not by the form. Both last year and this time around, we have been on good form, but the bl00dy scousers managed to pull one over us.

All that matters is the waywe play on that day and not Drogba/Anelka's form. I agree that our defense is worrisome factor, bit I still beleive that we can win this. If there was any team in the owrld that could pull off miracles during the dying minutes, it is Manchester United.

Don't get me wrong lads. We will win the league this year, I generally believe that. But Sunday is going to be a massive problem and I worry how things will be after falling 5 points behind. I would much rather us win it!

I'd be happy with a draw, a win obviously, but a draw would be a good result.

Five points at this stage isn't too big a margin. As much as i'd love a win. A draw wouldn't be bad.
