    Re: FOR CRYING OUT VALENCIA!!!!!!!!

Well he could take on players more and take shots, but thats why we have diffrent wingers obertan will do close dribbling nani will do skills and dribbling and valencia has the pace and strenth to take on players by running past them and trieing out teams.

I like the way he played yesterday but i think he should take defenders on more often aswell but i think that'll come when he really settles into the squad and when his confidence grows

Yeah, I see your point, But i'd prefer the quick change of pace and acceleration - as seen last night, he was a real handful and knew when to take players on and when to lay it off.

obertan has great acceleration and pace OFF the ball.

but if you would of seen him against blackburn, his pace with the ball at the moment isnt quite the same.

    valencia can dribble faster

    Adam Cooper:

    that is wrong im afraid.

    valencia is faster than obertan!

its just that obertan has more "skills" as such.

all valencia needs to do is be more confident, be a bit more selfish instead of a team player in a sense

I wouldnt like to bet on whos The fastest ... As for valencia , its his first season in a new team , Were learning to play a different way this season due to ronaldo going to spain , i think hes doing ok  ! Obertan loooks very good - i cant wait till he is a regular first 11 player :D

2 from 3 goals came from crosses from the right... and against Chelsea that will be needed. They are proven to be weak from crosses - as shown last night with Athletico's first goal.

I do like Valencia, however he takes a step and if he cant get a cross in, will cut back and lay the ball off.

He does'nt have the pace to take on Ashley Cole - Obertan does. - I just hope Valencia get the ball into the box for Rooney & Berba as much as possible at the weekend.

    FOR CRYING OUT VALENCIA!!!!!!!!

With all the pace that Antonio has you would have thought that he would have the pace to take on players. Yes, he can whip in a decent cross and has a powerful shot but what i want to see is him dribbling past players, taking defenders on and having more shots on goal. The likes of Rooney, Berba and Owen would benefit from the shots because the chances are there would be a few rebounds off the keeper and their positioning would be ideal to knock it in. I think it is fair to say and we all know that he will never be another Ronaldo. However, the fact that he as all the potential to be as good needs to be shown and he can be. Perhaps a more floating role would be ideal for him so he could use his pace over the pitch. Nevertheless, i just want to see him be more adventurous and inventive.
