What I wan to add for the Chelsea V United , Had been the availabilty of the Berbatove full enough, it would have been given us a full win over Chelsea

why Berba was not available in the Match

I agree with ur CM pairing... we all know fletch performs best in big games... hes the man we need to cut out what chelseas diamond can do... andersons strength will also be important.. they both have to start...

i think we should try valencia on the left.. bosingwas a doubt... so there gna have a make shift right back.. i doubt that hueva it is will be able to cope with LAV..

Berbatov to score winner... comon u reds!!

Didier Drogba  is definitely Chelsea's main treat. However he is a brilliant player only when he's mentally all there and he's extremely tempermental . So if we can rough him up a bit early on and get him upset, it might throw him off his game.

It doesn't come around every week, to play a team as chelsea, whom has in the past years being great contenders in the title race. When greater challanges comes, how an individual handles his part determines how reliable he can be. This is it united, another time to prove critics wrong, it is known by even chelsea themselves that we're better but all we have to do is to guide against complacency. Never take a sec to nap, cos this 90mins will go down history. Starting XI playing 4-4-2 should be VDS, evra-vidic-ferdinand-o'shea, nani-anderson/scholes-fletcher-valencia, berbatov-rooney. Its in you united, its all in you. Go out there and make us proud.

Their main threat from time immemorial has been Dider Drogba when he's in the box. If not in the box, and in the attacking half, it's Lampard. Just assign Fletcher to never let Lampard out of his sight. Fabregas didn't do much at OT, and Fletch can put Lampard in the same fate. As for Drogba, well just trust Vidic. We'll be fine if we do. Evans might prove to be a weak link, but I'm backing the lad to do well. He's delivered all season, no reason for him to put a foot wrong today.

    Website Editor:
Who or what will be vital to United winning the game?

As for what, it's luck. Pure luck. Luck is what we need to break down this Chelsea defense and to stop their attack for 90 minutes. If we're lucky, we'll win. But not everything can be attributed to luck. All of the 11 players have to perform. If everyone has a great day like it was at OT last season, we can whoop their asses again. But if 1-2 have an off day, nothing can be done I'm afraid. Let's just have a little faith. Giggs and Rooney have been our best performers this season, and let them maintain that in this game. GGMU!

    Website Editor:
Who would be in your starting XI?

VDS(No choice), O'Shea(He's been good for us this season), Vidic(Obvious reasons), Evans(No Rio), Evra(Best LB in the world. Nothing else needed), Valencia(Finding his feet now, 3 goals for Utd already. He was never a goal scorer, and he's finding the back of the net quite often here Smile), Fletcher(Simply our best CM), Anderson(Muscle in midfield), Scholes(Push the ball forward and just play a neat pass here and there), Ryan Giggs(Give him the effing Ballon d'Or!!!) and Wayne Rooney(Great striker Big Smile). Berbatov and Owen can come on whenever required and just help the push forward. I hope we don't lose with this team.

    Website Editor:
What would be your tactical approach on Sunday?

We can't afford to be explosively attacking. That would leave us very vulnerable at the back, but we do need to attack them. They've got the better squad, but we've got the passion and determination to win. Hope that will be in our favour when we play today. Just keep the back tight and don't push the CM's forward too much. Let Fletch do the donkey work and Anderson win the ball. Scholes to move it forward and Rooney to play a role where he drifts to the midfield all of a sudden and Giggs/Valencia can move to the centre. Well let's see what Fergie does.

    Website Editor:
It’s ten to four on Sunday afternoon and you’re the manager. What do you say to the United players?

Remember what happened at Anfield. Remember the silly defending. Learn from it, don't screw up today. Arsenal are above us on goal difference and 1 point will take us back to 2nd, but then they'll have a game in hand. Don't let it go to that. Just go to the pitch, play as well as you can, and screw them up today. Get the three points for the fans.

Re: ManUtd.com thread: Talking tactics for Chelsea v United

    1. Obviously Drogba and Lampard pose the biggest threats; Terry could also provide some influence with his standing as captain at the back. I think we'll be able to contain them if we limit how much Lampard and especially Essien have the ball, as those are the only two i've seen this season who've been the real playmakers; drogba and Anelka are mainly just the finishers. 2. Both teams will be hungrily for the three points after they had to deal with draws in UCL games that they could've/should've won. The big factor for United will be their defending. They were literally the only reason City had a chance at getting a draw, they did a better job at Liverpool but still hadn't got all their problems taken care of at that time, and they really shouldn't have given 3 goals to CSKA. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I think that this time of year last year was the Arsenal away game, which was the last game United conceded a Premier League goal until February. If our defense finds a way to contain the Chelsea midfield we'll be fine. 3. Starting XI: Van der Sar, Evra, Brown, Vidic, Evans, Giggs, Valencia, Fletcher, Anderson, Rooney, Berbatov. Only reason I don't go with Owen is same reason as McIlroy's; because Wazza and Berba already a great chemistry going between themselves. 4.I would start off with a traditional 4-4-2, and as the game gets into the late stages, depending on the score i might shift valencia up and/or sub one of the midfielders for Obertan. 5. Lads, this is the third week this season alone where we've had a Champions League immediately followed by a EPL rivalry game. Last time around it didn't go as wanted, but both games were away from home, and also VDS was still getting back into the swing of things after returning from injury. If we play like we did against City sans the defensive lapses, we'll be fine.

My line up, playing 4-5-1 (I've borrowed someone else's formation so it looks like 4-3-3)

                   Van Der Sar

     Brown  Vidic   Evans   Evra

                     Carrick
     Fletcher                   Giggs

    Valencia                       Rooney
                     Berbatov

As a 4-5-1 am loving that. Play that tomorrow and we win 2-0

Well,in my opinion,my choices of players for the first team are : Van Der Sar,Vidic,Evra,Evans,O Shea,Anderson,Valencia,Giggs,Fletcher(or Carrick),Rooney and Owen.

I think Vidic should play in aggressive way as usual but not too aggressive ( to prevent from getting red card ).And,Owen should be the front man because his finishing was awesome.Rooney can give more  support to  Owen. Anyway this is just my opinion.

Good luck in tomorrow clash!! Glory Glory Man Utd!
