Re: Your questions for Jesper Olsen

You normally used to wear your shirt out of your shorts which was quite unusual back then but I remember that your were immacculately turned out in the 85 cup final with your shirt tucked in. I seem to remember reading that your mum made you tuck it in because you were playing at Wembley. Was that true ?

Re: Your questions for Jesper Olsen

    Sir,

I have been a big fan of MU and since last one decade I hardly missed any matches involving MU . But after the departure of Ronaldo & Tevez in the frontline the forward is lacking the penetration to score goals. Except Rooney I don't think anybody deserves to be in the MU line up. Also in the defence we need somebody who could match the pace of forward. Vidic is excellent but he lacks the pace. It is time to replace the unfit Ferdinand with some young players. Ever since Owen Hargreaves came to MU he never played continuously for more than 3 games in a row. What's the use of keeping him in the injured list for years. It's time to sell him.

My question with all the money we had in reserves, why don't we purchase good quality players. B'cos it will be very difficult to catch Chelsea once we give them more than 5 points lead.

    Regards,

    Bijoy George

    Hey Jesper,

Thanks for the memories, you were my favourite player from the mid/late eighties....remember your first game v Watford in '84 - 1-1 draw - when Gordon Strachan (who scored a penalty) and Alan Brazil also made their debuts!

Anyway thinking back to the days of Big Ron...how did it feel to play in that '85/'86 side that won the first 10 games of the season...and then how did it feel as the title slowly slipped away?

And what really happened with Remi Moses in '86?

All the best, your a top man

when you played in the 1986 world cup, you scored 2 goals, but does that mistake in the round of 16 match against Spain still haunt you?

when you tried to return the ball to Høgh, your pass ended up straight in front of Emilio Butragueño instead. The Spanish striker levelled the game, and eventually went on to score four goals in the game that Denmark lost 1-5

Re: Your questions for Jesper Olsen

Jesper was probably my first real hero at United and one of the reasons that myself as a player wanted to be a right winger.

One characteristic of Olsens was that he always wore his shirt untucked and I would like to know if Jesper done this for any apparant reason?

Was he ever asked to tuck it in by a manager or a referee?

Jesper, - In 1982 you were part of the infamous Cruyff  "passing penalty" at Ajax.

Pires & Henry tried to repeat this in 2005 with Arsenal but failed miserably. - Can you tell us how this idea came about, and if it was practiced on the training ground?

    Many Thanks!

    Hey Jesper,

If you could define Ron Atkinson in 3 words what would they be??

And were you put off by Atkinson's sacking or was it a new exciting beginning under Sir Alex?

Lastly whats your most special memory while playing inside Old trafford?

     Thanks, Omar.

    Hi Jesper!

Not many Danish players make it inside the United team - but John Sivebæk, Peter Schmeichel and yourself did. How does it make you feel looking back on your career saying "I was a United player!"?

Tak for alle oplevelserne i rødt, Jesper!

    Cheers,

    Ole B., Ikast, Denmark

What was it like playing with young starlet Mark "Sparky" Hughes? And which Manchester United player did you rate the most of you're former teammates?

+ Who was the toughest defender you faced back in the day in England?

Jesper. I enjoyed many glourious moments in the United road watching your silky skills.

What was the best goal you scored for United and why?
