    NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The atmosphere is bad enough without more people not singing.

Plus, we have not sold out for months, why make the stadium bigger when there is still seats available for nearly every game?

    Agree with the atmosphere bit.

Don't agree with not being sold out - if that were the case I'd be able to get weekend EPL matches on general sale, which is not the case.

Sorry to dissapoint u but I go to all games and we have not been sold out for months, they announce the attendance during the game, which incidently is very annoying!!!!!

In this case they should not expand it but work on the acoustic detail. There are ways to do that.I was watching a game the other day and in a stadium with 35000 ( I think) the atmosphere was infernal.

There is no real need to expand the ground, just keep putting the gate prices up until you maximise your return, when you start getting empty seats you know the limit has been reached.

Squeeze the fans until the kids ware second hand shoes and have no dinner money.

There is a difference between general sale and member only sales.  General sale is obviously to the general public whereas member sales are only open to One United members.

yes i know that, which is my point exactly - only when they can't sell out the tickets to One United members do they open it up to General Sale, after which it either sells out or it doesn't.

     Isn't that right?

Tickets have been on sale to members though for all Premier League games, with the sole exception of the City game..

The mid-week carling and champion's league fixtures did go on general sale, as did the blackburn game - i don't remember any other weekend matches going on general sale, i would have bought them otherwise. correct me if i'm wrong...

there is talk of the upper corners to be done like the quadrants to mate it to 84000 which can be done as for the main part of extention to the south stand is being held up by the local council acording to my sources,

as with the debt utd have half to pay back of the 700m they borrowed so i think we doin all good so no need to worry bout the money,

but i do hope they soon get the go ahead to build,

Not possible to expand further at the moment due to the railway line behind the South Stand and the fact it would cost a fortune for the club to buy the houses that they would need to demolish to enable expansion to take place.

Also I think the debt we have, which is increasing yearly, is likely to prevent further borrowing at the moment even if it was possible to expand.

yeah i read this some where as well . there were also suggestion that the 80 mil we got for ronaldo will partly fund this extension as well . dunno whether is it true or not though. any one else with any info pls comment . really would love to see a stadium with the capacity to rival the nou camp.
