I think Brown's best season at the club was back in 2007-08.

Prior to that season and even after that season,he always had the odd mistake or lapse in concentration in him.

I honestly think Rafael is our best RB and he ought to be played more often.

Have to agree that Brown is the best right back at the club but Sir Alex seems to be looking for him to provide cover for the central defence more this season. Also Sir Alex rings the changes based on team tactics for each different opponent. However personally I would always play Brown first because he is the best defensive player, is very skilful, and could be even more productive offensively.

 hey this is really funny i just entered to the messeage boards to write excatly the same post, but you beat me. I was thinking the same, brown should be use as right back, with rio and vidic as center and evra on the left, this was our best formation, the one that won us the champions league and epl the same year, brown is solid defending and its not that bad attacking, remember he is the one who sent the cross for ronaldos header in the cl final against chelsea after a nice one two with scholes. what does the rest of you think about this.

Honestly... I think we should go back to this defense line,when you check the stats that has been the best in the past 3-4 years.. Brown-Vida-Rio-Evra... This was the season when you captured the double... FA Premier League and Champions League trophies... Brown was injured most of the season after that so Oshea took over at right back.. and ever since Brown has never played at right back which I dont understand... .I think Brown is an excellent because of position as a CB when he plays at RB its hard for players to beat him and when he overlaps he crosses the ball very well more than Oshea can ever dream of... so I dont know why Sir Alex doesnt play brown at RB no more.. Personally I'll like to see brown shifted to RB and then we get another experience CB and then Evans who has talent will also come very good.Rio when fit is one of the best so we should support him and he will come good. Oshea isnt a RB and doesn't balance the defence according to me.. Oshea can be used in central midfield at times.. in a three man midfield and he can break play..
