Re: obertan will improve faster than nani

i hope i m proven wrong...but having had his development halted by a back injury not taken care of for 1 and a half years i feel that has really put him back....and he is already twenty and if we get silva do you think obertan would get as many games as nani did when ronaldo was around......

cause if obertan does not get that many games same way he will be not much different than nani.....again if nani had been given the right amount of games he would have more experience and would have been a better talent now than he is at the moment.

    Obertan a devoted talent!

I value Obertan not just as a better, and faster improver than Nani, but also as a real fighter and devoted player to club's interests. I see this when he plays, he uses his mind, heart, and legs. He plays as he has a long experience, even though he is so young. Obertan should be a first team player, even with Chelsea

Re: obertan will improve faster than nani

Nani has been sussed out by nearly every defender in the Prem, as they know where he gonna go, they all know he will come inside, so defending against him is easier now, Nani needs to adapt his game, at the moment he is a 1 trick pony, he needs to improve alot and start taking peeople on down the touchline. Obertan can only get better, he has vision, awarness, and is comfortable going down the touchline or coming inside, plus has a few tricks on him, but crushally does'nt showboat when its not necesarry, so yeh its been a very promising start by Obertan, will take time to make him in a superstar, so people should stop slating him, Ronaldo took 2 yrs to develop into a world class player, Obertan is 3 games into his competitive utd career, and as said before looks promising and will surprise many in the coming seasons

There's no doubt that his chances and prospects of improving faster than Nani are quite high.

I don't. He's not as young as people make out. If he was 16 and playing like that I'd be more impressed. The guy has no awareness at all. He's like a worse version of Aaron Lennon. He's an impact player. Not bad as a substitute, or to rustle some feathers, but I don't see him in the Utd first team. Valencia is the one I think will make it big. He has far more of the key characteristics to stand the test of time.

    FAIL!

    Mucho respect for Valencia

Anyone would improve faster than Nani.  He is the same player he was 3 years ago.  You can barely notice any changes in Nani's approach to the game.

i hate to say this cause iv never slated any player on this forum and this is a first!

but i really do wish nani was the same player we signed 3 years ago... in his debut season he was our highest assist with 13 ...

hes not near the same player he was back then..

His key advance, as Fergie has alluded to, is simply that most Premier League teams don't know anything about him. This basically means he'll have the edge over a few of the weaker teams for the next couple of Premier League seasons. Nothing more.

What? Ober has impressed, age-wise or not. The attributes that he impresses many critics with (smart ones at least) is his easy adaption into English football, his running into space...burst of pace..control on the ball..guided and meaningful passes, he's nothing short of an Henry-in-the-making.

His coolness and style on the ball brings alot of credit to him after being debuted in 3 different competitions. Regular first-team football or even just training will rightfully allow him the time to gel more with his team-mates, and as we can see already he's gelling with Evra.

He has more vision and awareness than Nani, so i'm clueless as to why you'd bring that up as a point. What needs to be worked on now is his shot, both power and accuracy.

I think by the end of this season he may be keeping Nani on the bench for more than he bargained for.

By the time Obertan reaches Nani's age I believe he'd be better by a mile, that is of course under the right guidance as I here he doesn't like pressure on him (not on the pitch, I mean the tabloid and media) so we'll have to guide him steadily and correctly.

He hasn't really impressed me so far, but i'll give him time he's only just started playing here. I think people are hyping him WAY too much. The commentators i was listening to when he came on were saying he was the next Ronaldo, he's done nothing to prove that.

Oh yeah, and i've kind of jumped on the Nani bandwagon, he needs to improve drastically and fast.

Re: obertan will improve faster than nani

and im guessig you know this because you train and play with the players every single day at carington and have first hand experience at how well each player is doing?

or is it cause you watch 4 minutes of highlights on match of the day .. and now ur a tactical genius?

well.. it could just be, thats what football manager told you would happen...
