Its good to say we take merchandising, sponsors and all these things into consideration. But please explain your estimate by telling how you calculate all these. Till now you only talked about the transfers of  less than 10 players and arrived to an estimation. Thats a great approximation..bravo!!!

It still applies.  Don't lock a post full stop.  One of the things that we discussed when taking up the moderation postions was that we all felt locking of threads should only allowed to be done by moderators, so don't be surprised if the ability to lock a post vanishes from your user profile at some point in the future...

If you lock the final post in a thread it does look to anyone viewing it that the thread is locked and may put people off from reading the post.

Each year premier league teams are payed around 30 million pounds for television rights. 

Plus the ammount the fa have payed united for the position in the league they have made it to. Arround 13 million for finishing top.

Sponserships.. im not aware of how much money united are actually paid but i think its arround 8 million a year just from Aig. Let alone Nike and the rest of them..

Players sold.. Just some of the big money sales..

o Becks - 24 million

o RVN - 11 million

o Stam - 16 million

o Veron 14 million

this is how i calculate Sir Alex has made united more than over a billion

i know that the figures above are not official but they are why i said "ESTIMATED" ... 

they also clearly add up to arround 50 million each year. .. it is also important to note that i did not say ' how much sir alex has made for us as profit'.
