Thats not a on top. He didnt play a game since the start of the year. HE knew he couldnt play on. That is not on top.

Scholes on the other hard retired on top. He could play for another year but he didnt. Thats retiring on top.

Giggs has shown no sign of slowing down. If he plays badly next year then he will get dropped thats how it is. Just to watch him play next year is somethion we should not take for granted. Once he is gone he is gone.

I REALLY AGREE WITH YOU LAKE SIDE 1 WE can"T loose him next season , ryan is our legend and inspiring player he should put all this behind him and put all his concentration in matches and by his Experience ryan can deal with rival fans ,, WE should sSSSSupport him

hmmm, it might just take him a while to recoup. :l hmmmm if he reitres it should be because he feels its right to do so. Not because of a scandal if he feels it won't affect his playing performance.

No why should he, he is our LEGEND, he's done alot for the club. So just because some cheap **** decides to put his hard earned achievements in jeopardy in return of a few pennies the sun is paying, doesn't mean he should bow out. He should stay and fight for the respect he commands and deserves and we as UNITED are behind him all the way coz thats the way it is!!!

In any case retiring when you are on top is rubbish cause Ronaldo was on top in 2008. He should of retired after the champions league final then.

A family friend said: “We fear that Ryan will go now and just call it a day once and for all. “The feeling is another year is just one too many for him to be bothered with. A lot of supporters have lost a lot of faith in him, and Ryan doesn’t need the hassle of taking stick from away fans.” A club source said: “Concerns are growing. Sir Alex [Ferguson] is willing to cut Ryan some slack and give him extra days off to clear his head.”

he should retire while he's at the top like scholes/neville did,plus it would give more game time for some of the youngsters coming through. giggs has been a fantastic player but what he did of the pitch was inexcusable,and the away fans will give him alot of stick,terry/rooney were bad but doing that on your brother is disgusting.

Well tbh he has slowed down quite a bit. Every year will bring on longer time to revover from games not to mention injuries and i think for Giggs the fact that he has been respected by everybody including awayfans and now he will be more or less spitting bucket will have an effect on his playing. How much and could it even be positive is to be seen but it will have an effect. Giggs has great physique for his age but he still is several years past his prime no matter what. He ain't able to play on wing anymore practically and his movement didn't really work in the cam role for 90 minutes even last season. Combine all together he must be seriously thinking about retirement atleast. Rooney is much younger and terry has quite a few years on Giggs too. Giggs is close to retirement even without these private life things going on and those can't actually put more years to his career. Interesting to see how it will go. Not like Giggs will be extremely important player next season anyway most likely. One injury and that could be it for his season more or less. And it's about time to rely on new blood anyway.

He's a professional and I'm sure he can handle all this speculation over his personal life. His performance against Blackpool was very good amidst the Imogen speculation, and I'm sure that he and his nuclear family will not be affected by this.
