Well done Berba,I knew it was going to be tonight that he oppened his account,and hopefully it will go to shutting the doubters up,although you will get many doubters saying things like "it's only aalborg blah blah blah". At the end of the day the way he took his second goal was really impressive and if anyone noticed the ball that Ronnie played over was actually deflected towards Berba, so it was really athletic from him to position his body as he did in a split second,it really was a classy finish. I deffinatly saw the confidence oozing out of him after his first goal,and some of his balls were terrific,his through ball to Ronaldo was very Cantona like,and a fitter Ronnie would have finished it off,and we would have already seen a contender for the best goal of the champions league. Think we will start to see Berba doing the business from now on.

Yes I am quite happy for Berba as well. Two great goals, nice smooth passing and team play...thats what we need from him and I believe he will be showing more and more of his fantastic skills . I cannot understand one thing though...why all the haters and moaners out there want him to run like a machine for every ball...don't you guys ever think? If SAF thinks Berba is veeeery lazy and must run after each ball he will definitely tell him that...but so far we don't see any change in Berba's behavior which means SAF does not want him to run and waste his energy. But I know, I know that all of you are far better than SAF, Berba, Ronaldo and the whole team and you know everything ;)

So go on Berbs and GLORY GLORY MAN UTD

I could not agree more Alpesh.I was very impressed by him last night (this coming from one of his biggest crits). Beside the goals he scored he really came good. He did a bit more running on and off the ball. Not to mention his controll and composure!!! He was a bit careless at times with his passing, but over-all it was a fantastic performance. I hope he can reproduce that performance in the EPL, because it will not be as easy, not by a long shot.

Wow.. I'm pretty new to the message boards and I'm shocked at how many 'die hard' fans there are who will not hear anything bad said about anything at our club.

I am rooting for Berba to do well as much as the next man but come on people wake up!! I'm sure the majority of you in here are adults...

Yes, very good to have two goals under his belt, but did you see his reaction to both goals?... Even HE knows this aint good enough.

Had a couple of lovely, cheeky flicks and passes that were successful but every one was followed by a mishit pass or a loss of posession. He didn't chase loose balls and had a number of occasions where he could have nipped in for a tackle but opted for the 'leave it to the defenders' attitude.

I do see improvement though. Next few games I can see him exploding.. Come on Berba

dont be another clueless idiot - off course he has to leave it to the defenders - he doesnt train in how to tackle people - he is the front man - his JOB is to score goals - and he will once people let him do just that - his job is not to track back and be a workhorse - that is not what we paid 30 million plus for - and when will the clueless muppets realize this

he is not supposed to go up and down the field and tire himself out - he needs all his energy for when the ball comes to the front for him - and tevez and rooney are supposed to be playing behind him - yet i noticed that today he did track back many times to defend when tevez who is the fresh player in stayed up and took a very unactive role - Berba was very active and played a brilliant game so when will the idiotic doubters get off his back and give the credit where its due - he know what his job is - it is paying him his salary - and all you muppets dont know what his job is cos its certain that YOU are not there in the field to do that job - so forget about talking nonsense about a man that is surely going to prove his worth to this club by scoring maybe at least 20 goals for this season (which will definitely make him worth his price)

forget that muppet idea that every player needs to go haring up and down the pitch - the guy has a positional sense that you lot will never ever understand - so stuff your stupid ideas about how you would like him to play and leave the people who do know about it ie the coaching staff and players to get on with thier jobs instead of making idiotic 2 bob comments like some of us dont want to hear bad about the club ....... in fact if you want to talk bad about the club then why pretend to support it - instead of being a muppet then go and support city rather

as for being adults - in my humble opinion its mostly stupid young kids that are green behind the ears that are doubting almost everyone in the side and saying everyone needs to get benched or sacked up to and including the manager - those people are

1) clueless about football

2) not fans

3) have i mentioned that they are clueless about football

4) totally immature and wet behind the ears

5) dumb

6) all of the above as well clueless about football

so stop perpetuating that type of an athmosphere where it becomes a matter of life and death when a player doesnt score in his first three games ever for a club by saying nonsense like it isnt good enough - where will your credibility go if he finishes off being top scorer for the season (amongst all the players in this club if not for the entire league) - let the guy get on with it - he will eventually dispel all your doubts - and when you have something negative to say that runs contrary to all logic about the game of football just remember this simple rule

"it is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"

Could not agree with you more mate. Before we had signed anyone everyone was harping about how we needed a 'clinical goal poacher'. Now Berbatov plays in this sort of a position and tries to stay up front without running around that much waiting for goal scoring opportunities, which is excellent because that is what we needed and what we missed since RVN's departure and Saha's injury woes. But now, some 'fans' are having a go at him because he doesn't chase loose balls or harass the defenders, how can they do that when it's clearly not Berba's role and what he was brought in for?. Simple, they are hypocrites with very little understanding of the big picture in football.

Yes, i think we'll see more improvement From Dimitar as the season enter the main phases. He needs to understand the way United play. I hope The team can gel & there are no EGO in among the Stars, such as Tevez, Ronalo, Berbatov & Nani. I always believe that Dimitar will be a MATCH in Heaven with United.. I hope he can be a main VOcal in our attack. He is definitely not a floop, n better than Keane the 20M pounds Man..

what did you want tevez and nani to do?? form an arc of triumph for him to walk through?

they didnt look unhappy to me... i think you might be getting a bit paranoid. dont worry about things like that it is a waste of ur energy. No trouble is going to be caused by berbatov scoring... (except if ur the oppostion..)

As for ronaldo... its nice to seem him frustrated... he's a player that likes to be scoring! I think thats much better then looking disinterested and losing passion for scoring, its that drive that makes him a great player. I'd hardly think he was envious of berbatov, Berbs slotted him in with a perfect pass and he could/should have buried it. I think Ronaldo is a great player and he'll always be in amongst the goals but really 20 plus goals a season for a winger is a great effort. Hope people dont expect him to get 40 again.. its possible, but it shouldnt be expected!

Berba was just fantastic!!! Look at the passes he gave to Nani (back pass!) and to Ronaldo (who was in scoring position, but couldn't score!!!) - this shows lots of Class!!! Let me tell yeaa...If Nani and Teves don't play with him, too abd for them - they will be replaced - look, Berba carried the Spurs on his back for almost 2 seasons, look what happened to them since he left - total dissaray!!! Berba is the BEST foreign player after Cantona, who came to play for Man Utd, PERIOD!!! GO BERBA GO!!!
