i couldnt agree more we put 5 midfielders in at city and they just walked right through us with there quality..in my opinion we dont have the quality player were used to seeing our midfield is shocking apart from scholes who at 37 is our only quality middle man!!!! so whats that say about transfer policy..i hope we dont do a liverpool i understand you cant stay top forever but were not competing for the type of players city go for which is the top top player all the top teams would go for...i think we need a striker 2 midfielders and maybe a right back.but its time to get rid aswell far to many players who player the same way im thinking anderson berbatov owen park and has much i as love nani my god how frustrating is he at times far to inconststant

You see SAF's splendid achievements in Man United has so immortalized him that everybody chuckles to say anything negative about him. Anytime some brave people speak blatantly about his failures, some misconstrue it to the effect that SAF is infallible, and they are right. Who dares you to talk about someone who has delivered over 15 league trophies. You better shut your month. That Man United is on the decline is a fact, not so because SAF is not good, far from that, but because the club has not been competitive in the transfer market of late. While our competitors are buying quality players at huge cost were are experimenting with players who have not been tried. In times of old it was every players' ambition to play for United. Very good and talented players play for United until they are no longer useful. What about in recent times? Even players in the second team are refusing to renew their contracts because we are refusing to note that things have changed. Lets move with the changing times or we forget it. We should be prepared to shop for quality players in this summer transfer market. We need at least 3 well tested players, one in the heart of defence and two offensive mid-fielders. If not we may not be able to hold our own with the in the champions league and the Barclay's premiership.

Well I agree with most of what you are saying, Pal......I got slated early this season , for posting that our Midfield, was way down the pecking order, compared with other top clubs........If we had not got Scholes back, this would have been proved, as we could have been fighting to get into Champions league, instead of fighting to win League now.........Scholes, Giggs, Evra and Ferdinand, cannot go on forever, and we need to strengthen, with top class players, in Midfield and Defence to compete with City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and even Newcastle now......If we want to succeed in europe, we must Improve considerably, with the best players.......

Supporters and fans with that opinion have been proven wrong the past two decades. What makes you think it will be any different this time? The architect of champions is still with the club.

Blah blah blah same as 280 other threads here mate. And it's not about defending SAF no matter what, it's just that some of us accept our losses and his mistakes. Do u understand? Players and managers make mistakes, doesn't mean the sky is falling or our club is rubbish.
