Go look in a dictionary at the meaning of the word raci st and education yourself. I do not believe that Kagawa was bought for shirt sales but your amazingly poor understanding of ra cism annoys me.

I agree with you I can´t see us investing in a player simply to raise the sale of shirts. Especially when the revenue from the shirt sales go to the shirt sponsor AON or the shirt manufacturer Nike and not the club. The other thing is if SAF didn´t think a player would improve the squad I doubt he would sign him or suggest Gill or the Glazers sign the player.
First and foremost what sells shirts or brings revenue to the club is a players performance along with his and the clubs success not his country of origin.
Thats not true about shirt sales. Where did you hear that or what makes you think that? Im pretty sure thats why clubs change their kits yearly to make money. A percentage would be payed to United....
we dont get no percentage of the shirt sales we sign a contract for a set amount of years with nike and a set amount of money we get every year no matter how many we sell or dont sell we will get that fixed amount of money the only thing the Kagawa signing will do is make nike improve our contract when we go into talks with them sometime this year over a new deal because of his appeal in asia. nike get all the money from our shirt sales they just pays us that fixed sum thats in the contract. so no matter how well we do or dont do we get the money. no percentages are involved.

Also "he's not the #7 kind of player" is also rac_ist, just because he's Japaneese and not white, cowboy looking guy doesn't mean he isn't for #7. IMO he'll be our top 3 performers next year, and also a key player! He defo should get the No.7!

What is it with people these days throwing a temper tantrum and pulling the race card whenever they have a problem with something? The asian market is massive and basically untapped by English clubs apart from a few players. Someone that thinks one of the factors in signing him might have been tapping into that market along with filling a hole with a fantastic player qualifies as r acist? lol.

I think you are being slightly short sighted hear *** its clearly not but frustrated Man Utd fans who were expecting a household name maybe. This guy by all accounts is a class looking act I grant you that but I think you need to look at the bigger picture.. The glazers are here to make money above all else and most American business men in this country are not here because they love SOCCER so they buy kagawa at low overheads and wait for it......at some point this year or before the next tax year man united will be floated on an Asian stock market. So *** no but cynical def! Hey I'm only giving u my opinion and he looks a good player but Man Utd is global and with the far east being the only sound economy this is a suspect signing sorry.
