Listen to yourself, you think I'm saying that because he's Irish? I never once said he deserves MORE recognition, if you actually read my post, the first one, I said Cantona was the catalyst to United's revival in the 90's but when he retired, Keane picked up were he left off as a leader.

I think reason you don't want to give him the credit he deserves his because he's Irish, see, I can spin things as well.

U had a problem with my original question which was about Keane and Ronaldo being ahead of Cantona in the list of Sir Alex's important signing. And all you wrote was some moaning about me hating him (which is true since he's an ungrateful moron, but that doesn't mean he wasn't ONE OF our greatest signings), but obviously zi'm blaming you for nothing, you're not asking for more recognition for Keane than for Cantona. Why not go further? I'm a proud Englishman and my all time favourite player is Scholes, that must mean he was our most important player, right? Unfortunately it doesn't.

Re: Fergies 6 best and 6 worst signings..?

Mikael Larsson:

redmancr:

xSTONEYx187x:

redmancr:

xSTONEYx187x:

redmancr:

IrelandUnited:

redmancr:

Keane Ronaldo, or anyone else for that matter, were not more important to us than Cantona. Right, then in your opinion, why were they better than the player who was the catalyst for the generation which started Sir Alex's best years?

Juventus, 1999, in Turin, without Keane in the team that day we would have never went on to win the CL. Whilst the King was the catalyst to United domination, when he reitred, Keane picked up were he left off, albeit not in the same way, Cantona = genius, Keane = Inspirational leader.

The most successful captain in United's history deserves the same recognition as United's other greats, just because you hate him, doesn't mean he didn't leave his mark in the same way as others.

Relax paddy, I understand that you don't give a damn about other great players in our history, just because Keane is Irish (a proud one who ran as far away as possible from your national side when The going got tough), but unfortunately for you that doesn't make him more important to our history than Cantona. And the fact he was our most successful captain had a thing or two to do with the players he was playing with.

I don't give a damn about United's other greats? Sling your hook, ya fool. I'm comparing him to the other greats, saying he deserves the recognition, Irish or not. Even the most ardent bigots like yourself should recognize that.

You''re so close minded itself pitiful. Grow up.

Oh *** off mate, thinking anyone deserves more recognition than Cantona, yet blaming me of bigotry. But surely it has nothing to do with him being Irish.

I'm not Irish and Keane was one of our greatest. And I would put him above Cantona, who has become more and more of a legend than he really was when playing (especially the newer generations who didn't see him play seem to think that he was much greater than he really was).

I watched him live. He was a great player, not the best, but great, nevertheless that's not what made him to the legend he is.

Re: Fergies 6 best and 6 worst signings..?

^^^

If so, you're more than welcome to tell me face to face how Ronaldo and Keane were more important to us than Cantona.

Re: Fergies 6 best and 6 worst signings..?

IrelandUnited:

redmancr:

xSTONEYx187x:

redmancr:

IrelandUnited:

redmancr:

Keane Ronaldo, or anyone else for that matter, were not more important to us than Cantona. Its just opinions.

Well done, you just confirmed to the world that you are a clueless idiot.

Oh really? Which part was I wrong about? Did Cantona not do more than anyone else (on the pitch) to start Sir Alex's glory years? Or did having Scholes, Beckham, Giggs, Schmeichel, Gaz, Yorke, Cole and so on had nothing to do with Keane being our most successful captain? I wonder how many outside ROI would think Keane was a more important signing than Cantona.

Re: Fergies 6 best and 6 worst signings..?

redmancr:

xSTONEYx187x:

redmancr:

IrelandUnited:

redmancr:

Keane Ronaldo, or anyone else for that matter, were not more important to us than Cantona.
