So, if the rumours are true this afternoon, from a phone call just received, Berbatov HAS Signed!!! 26 MILLION! Also, does this now mean that Ron has gone????

I think Dimitar berbatov would be a great signing, he has a superb Shot accuracy great skill and is Tall the only downside is his age and he can be moody but overall i would be very happy with him, i think we will pay 25 Million pounds for him!

I don't believe this story. It's not Malcolm Glazer's style to get involved .. it's David Gill's province.

I can't understand why you all seem to think 23 million pounds is a lot of money for Berbatov. the guy is amazing, he can score, he can provide assists and he's a great partner to either Rooney or Tevez. i mean, it's not your money wer'e talking about here, and since it's not my money either i don't care how much they would pay for him as long as he's wearing red next season. I would say the same about Benzema, if SAF decides to pay 48 million pounds for him that let it be as long as he's our's.

I guess Sir Alex feels Berbatov can add more creative boost to our attacking line-up. We got the raw power, speed and skill in our attack with the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez so a little bit of flair to top it off, the icing on the cake if you will.

Malcolm Glazer and Daniel Levi will meet in Saturday.

The manager of Man United sir Alex Ferguson has declared before his employer he wants Berbatov categorically.

Not the most reliable source, but he has been consistently linked with us for 2 years now, and the most heavily linked this summer to us. I might be wrong but surely SAF is slightly interested. I love Berbatov to come. He is such a class player, the only problem is Spurs are asking for more than 25m. I firmly believe SAF is a admirer of Berbatov, and he will fit into any team. Dont know why most people dont want him to come.

Still have problems understanding why SAF would pay that much for him and I can not see the Glazers dealing with this transfer directly neither. There is more chance us getting Huntelaar as Ajax has just broken their transfer record and signed a new striker which leaves the door open for him to join us. He is young and unbelievable talented, just the player we need.

Berbatov would not be my first choice. Benzema would. But SAF wants him, and he is a very good striker and he is proven.

This guy for 23 millions pound?? I rather have Roque Santa Cruz then have Berbatov. Both of them are same age and I believe Santa Cruz is at least 10 millions pound cheaper than Berbatov and he also can score goals like Berbatov.
