He is just a two-faced Spanish lawyer (which explains a lot) who got to where he is now by conning his way through the ranks. His failed attempt to land Kaká is well documented so another failure would seal his reputation as the biggest clown to preside over Madrid. He isn't popular with the fans, the players and even his own board so this Ronaldo deal is make or break for him hence his desperate stance.

He comes across all sensible and intelligent with the BBC making comments like "We want to be respectful to United" knowing he's talking to a well respected global news media. Then he completely changes his tune (almost a total reverse) with AS and his pet Marca knowing or should I say hoping that it would boost his ratings with the Madrid fans and all Spanish people in general.

This guy should run for office in the Spanish parliament! :D

Yes sure they might have won 9 Euro cups and be Spain's most successful team but when it comes to attitude, respect, dignaty and honesty then RM and Calderon lay in a gutter somewhere along with there bullsh*t newspaper's Marca and AS.

Can you actually beleive this guy thinks United should be happy and proud that one of there top players wants to play for RM?

I'm sure if a 23yr old Raul had said he dreamed of playing for United, Barca, Milan, Juve, Liverpool etc back in the day then Calderon or which ever clown was RM president at the time would be happy and proud that he wanted to leave RM and play for 1 of there major Euro rivals and would be rushing to pick up the phone and arrange his sale asap.....I DON'T THINK SO SOMEHOW!!!!!

Calderon and RM are trying to act like some kind of mafia 'Godfather' in that they think they 'own' the transfer market and other clubs can only try to buy a player so long as RM don't want him and need to seek permission 1st. And they look on in amazement if any club 'dares' to say that RM can't just have 1 of there players and won't just 'hand him over' with there heads bowed in fear!!!

I hope Barca win La Liga next season and that United meet RM in the CL and send them packing with Ronaldo scoring a couple of goals for us in the process which will lead to Schuster being sacked, Calderon being ousted as president, half the current side being sold and RM as a club getting what there arrogance deserves!!!!

Why would he say that he would be honored if he was on our side? Bull ****! The man is speaking pure nonsense because he is the one trying to get Ronaldo! If we did offer that amount of money for anyone on that squad, he would be doing the same thing we are doing, "He's not for sale!" Also, I think he is pleading with us because he is in some hot water with the supporters!

You can not compare Barca with Real!! Barca have allways had a good balance between homegrown young tallent and buying stars.. Not like we grow all our players ourselves either...

I reckon he is a bit agrevated of this news and the ronaldo saga as we all our, we all know barca has a good youth system as arsenal but there fates are looking blurry as arsenal's players want to move on which is a kick in the theeth for them and a smile of my face . Dos santos who was dubbed the next ronaldinho which is stupid beacuse you can't get a next of any player just the next good midfeilder with similar attributes to ronaldinho who will need the proper coaching to reach that level he's not just born like that, any woo he's gone to spurs and i wonder any more to exit the nou camp as adebayor wants to be the next arsenal player to go since both flamini and dos santos have moved on.

Barca did take thierry from arsenal which is just like taking ronaldo when we don't have rooney, tevez blah blah, Now he sits on there bench when he could of been a firm future builder for arsenal to me i'm glad but seeing a great player get worse like ronaldinho is quite sickening. I'm not sure how many players barca can keep a hold of like arsenal so there transfers will net them some money to look for players to go searching, it's kind of mad to predict arsenal's and barca's fate to be similar but it could happen?

Im sorry mate, I cant agree with you there. I think they have treated Ronaldinho and Eto'o quite badly, but Deco is getting on and have sold him well.

The part i cannot agree on is that Barcelona come running to us for players?? where did this come from?? and if youre referring it to Pique, we signed him from them in the first place, didnt use him and sold him back for a £4m profit. Barcelona have produced the best squad of homegrown talent in world football today. Established players like Victor Valdes, Oleguer, Carles Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta and Lionel Messi have all come through the youth system at Camp Nou not to mention up and coming players like Bojan Krkic, Giovani dos Santos (now at spurs but still) Marc Crosas, Iago among others we'll surely see in the next few years. Not to mention the Premierships very own Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique.

Real Madrid...yes lol
