Taking a subjective view on the whole thing, you got to realise the guy is only 18, he's got his whole football career ahead of him, Man United may be one of the biggest clubs in the world but he wants to make sure that he gets game time over the next 2/3 crucial years and who can blame him really? Scholes came back and got the nod over Anderson and Pogba both over 10 years his junior, we played Rafael in CM against Blackburn when we could have just as easily put Pogba in, I mean, in terms of him having opportunities can you blame a young lad who wants to make sure he reaches his full potential. It's a massive choice for an 18 year old to take on. Plus, we love Manchester United but to some players, we're just another club and that's the harsh truth, not every single player in the world is going to look at Manchester United so fondly and they would not hesitate leaving if they thought they were getting messed around or if they could get more game time and I think that's what Pogba is making sure, that, if he does sign the contract, he'll get his time and not be pushed back for 2/3 years when really, this is a massive point in his career.

If he signs, I'll be delighted, if he doesn't sign, then I'll understand he has his reasons.

Lets be honest United gives pretty well opportunities to everybody else but midfielders. It is really hard for especially central midfielders to make to regularly to playing formation. No it's not nearly enough to get 30 mins once a while or even get 90 mins few times a season. Players need consecutive 90 mins games to really hit it off and for young central midfielder that is almost impossible. Cleverley could have made it if not that injury and Anderson has gotten it on bit off position few times but thats it. Scholes and Giggs combined and Carrick on other slot practically make it impossible for any youngish player even to make it. And that includes Anderson & Cleverley combo so how on earth could Pogba make it???

I agree. Young midfilders these days don't seem to get the opportunities that beckham, butt, scholes and giggs got, he really needs to either get more games here or go on loan to eother a good championship side or a decent pl side.

The trouble is he really should be having more first team opportunities to help him develop. This is why I'd send him to either a championship or even pl side to help him develop. When he returns he should be immediately ready to step into the first team like clev was.

It seems he is the only one who hasn't got this fact lodged in his head. There is no club anywhere near this magnitude except barca who give young players the opportunities they deserve. They just spend their money on mercenaries isn't that right citeh?

Source? Where did you get this from? I am pretty sure its the other way around, he only recently said he wants to keep his options open for now.
