No, I am not saying that and you're probably right, Petrucci and Tunnicliffe will probably get first team playing time.

SAF likes to blood young players in Cup Compettions, as I pointed out above. Therefore, they will get first team playing time in those matches. You're not suggesting we just throw them into the Champions League, are you?

With the addition of Kagawa, SAF will be playing United in a 4-2-3-1, which seems to be what most big teams are playing, especially in Champions League. Sahin would be playing allongside Carrick, with Kagawa in AM position. Three midfielders are neccessary against the big boys, as we saw last season. I'm sure now you're going to say, "what about Cleverley?" IMHO, Cleverley still has some learning to do and should be played against mid table-to-weaker P.L teams and stronger FA Cup/Carling Cup opponents, in a more attacking role, with Scholes deeper playmaking, helped by Tunnicliffe/Powell/Petrucci. Remember, SAF likes to rotate his squad, likes to Bllood younger players in Cup competitions and for those players to gain experience from the veterans, especially Scholes. This gives all the younger players their shot at first team action, and still gives us the strongest line-up for the Champions League and strong P.L. matches as well. I did not include Anderson as he is too inconsistant and can certainly be used off the bench until ready. Does that answer your question?

Yes, but I don't know if Tunnicliffe or Petrucci will get first team playing time.

First of all every time a player moves to a new club, they ALWAYS say that it is their Dream club. I'm not saying that Sahin was being disigenuous, but you have to take the statement with a grain of salt. second, if he plays for us and enjoys his relationship with Kagawa and we win the Champions League and gets playing time, I'm not so sure that he wouldn't stay. None of us can be sure. Meanwhile, we would've had a talented player in midfield helping us win all season. Where iis the negative in that?

There is nothing concrete unfortunately so I don't see us getting him on loan or signing him full time to be honest. We need cover for carrick, and there are several midfielders available that if we really really wanted to could secure their signatures, but there is no concrete interest in any midfielder sadly. We seem to have put all our eggs to a couple of baskets in trying to sign, lucas and rvp who if we did(we won't) sign them would serve nothing more than luxury players.
