The reason why we didn't perform at stoke was that our movement when we have the ball was terrible except the goal. Can't blame the forwards but the midfield 2 ando was having a day off while fletcher was forced to carry his workload. Midfielders need to move free from stoke players to open up options so they can't be pressured to easy.

The Problem

The game against stoke we played terrible and this was due to lack of link up play with defence to attack meaning the midfield didnt do they job in attack. Fletcher played well worked hard but movement was poor as the stoke players were pressuring us. We didnt move to make it difficult for stoke to pressure us and so we did not have much attacking flair like the begining . Ando was not as energetic as other displays.

Cant agree with you about De Gea, he was brilliant today. Man of the match performance. Ok we were not at our best but still getting a point at Stoke keeping in mind we lost Rooney and Chicha is a good result. Midfield is the area where we need to strengthen more apart from that we are fine.

I didn't watch any football games this weekend.....know why??

because i watched stoke vs manchester united..... what the hell was that? how many minutes was the ball actually played on the ground? the ball stayed in the air the whole game!!!! if that was in any other league we would have had 2 pens and whelan would have been sent off. All in all, we couldn't impose our football on their rugby way of playing, you can say that vidic and rooney were missed the most. Vidic would have just shrugged off crouch the whole game cause he is so predictable just jump and lean on the defender while wazza would have gave us the ability to keep the ball in their final third and play our normal football. looking forward to back to back FOOTBALL games at old trafford in the next 10 days. Beware basel and norwich we are coming to gettcha ;) ;)

Fergie lauds Stoke's football. I think that is a mistake. Footballers are good athletes but they are not wrestlers. I cannot believe that the league allows the type of rough play practised by Stoke.

It was a good result for the game.

TBH considering our injuries, stokes dirty tactics and the worst ref i have ever seen, it turned out to be a good point.

It wasn't a fantastic result, but it was satisfactory.
