I'm a fan from Hong Kong and I have been supporting Man United for more than 10 years.
I am glad that Portugal lost to Germany last night, because it should make Ron knows that it will take a team of dedicated players to win anything. And he himself can't always make great impact without good teammates like those in Man U.
Sadly, he didn't realise that point. And to me, Real Madrid has always been a dirty club. After all, the presidents just keep on attacking other clubs to get the big name players who can get them win in presidential election. Look at Barcelona, would they unsettle other clubs' player like what Real has done on Ron? Certainly not.
Ron said going to Real Madrid has always been his dream, that's what we can take, as we all know his family has always wanted him to play for Real Madrid (her mum is Real friend). He can't be blamed for voicing out and trying to fulfill his dream.
However, moving to Real is certainly not a 'step forward'. As we all know, Real hasn't really been able to challenge the Champions League for years. And we all know Real is a club who do businesses rather than concentrating solely on football.
The one more reason he is willing to move away is that, maybe in Spain the style of playing football is different from that in the Premier League, maybe in there, teams like to play in a more tatical way, and defenders are not always want to knock you down even in the midfield. And playing in Spain is more relaxed, because you see, players in Real used to underperform in some matches, and sometimes they just really play like suckers, without any moltivation.
Anyway, the main point is, I really don't suggest SAF to keep him, because keep him here will certainly affect the team morale. But as Ron is so injury-free and can almost play every matches and his huge business value, I really suggest David Gill and Glazers not to accept any offer lower than 100m pounds. Even 60-70m is not acceptable. Chelsea has virtually made all players in the World to appreciate in values. 60m may not be enough to buy 2 world class young talents. And the funny thing is, Real said money has never been an issue lol. Just ask hem for 100m CASH. I don't think they can pay so much CASH. Poor Spanish government always support Real. See how they have built a team full of big names but playing rubbish football in the Champions League. They are simply not good enough. Football is about teamwork and dedicated, which Real has never had for years.
What I hope is England can really give more resources to train and discover local young talent. See Figo, he is even worse to had transferred from Barcelona to Real Madrid which are main rivals. Portugeese seems care about personal pride more than any teams, except their national team. Only English are always loyal to English clubs. You see Italian players seldom move away from AC Milan and Juventus.
