Time and Time again i watch United play in Europe and Away from home in the Premier League and i struggle to see us dominate central midfield areas! This only gets worse when a certain Paul Scholes isnt on the pitch! We do have lots of possession in games but all i hear from the comentators is the lack of strength in Uniteds central midfield compared to the rest of europe.
Andersons form has been a breath of fresh air after a tough period for the young brazilian! I hope we now see him kick on and get back to the form he showed in 07/08! Michael Carrick has been given chances and sometimes looks like he may be able to replace Scholes, however how long do we give him before we admit he is a Spurs player! Does he hold or does he create? Should he score more? There is no doubting Michael can play, but again last night we were left scratching our heads at missed placed passes and a certain dwelling on the ball that lead to our clean sheet record disapear quicker than the officials could get their leg wamers on!
There are two players who at the moment are being frozen out in Madrid by Mourinho. KAKA & CANALES!
I do understand Kaka has been suffering from groin injuries since the World Cup but it is common knowledge that he hasnt settled in the Spanish capital and when he returns will find himself down the pecking order. We all know what Kaka can do he eduacated us on his last visit to OT in a Milan shirt! Also wasting his talent slumped on the Madrid bench is young Canales!
He could be the playmaker we are looking for and at the tender age of 18 he could be the next big thing and grow into a big player at United.
He was bought from Santander last summer after a very impressive debut season in La Liga. He has got the lot, silky left foot, great touch, strength, the ability to score, fantasic awareness, and something i feel all top players have arrogance and confidence! Madrid may be saving him for the future but a big offer may get him away from the bernabeu!
Ben Hibbs and Nick Coppack, please throw these names into the hat if you bump into Sir Alex, some feedback would be appreciated.
